I think this is also part of the reason the stereotype that black people can't or don't swim is a thing. It may not be the fear of the water itself. It could be the fear of what's in the water.

My grandmother told me a story when she was younger and living back home in Jamaica that she saw a mermaid and it called out to her but she ran away. Then in 1980 when my mother was pregnant with me she said she was in the ocean and she felt something pulled on her and take her under and it was my uncle that saw that she was struggling to come up and he pulled her out. A few months later when I was born I was born with a veil/caul over my face. Now even at 40 I refuse to go into the ocean or the sea. Back in 2008 I took a cruise around Mexico and Mami Wata called out to me. I ignored the call because it’s not a spiritual path that I desire to take, though I’m honored for the invitation.

Well in the Slavic mythology we have "rusalki". It's usually translated as mermaids but their description is closer to water nymphs or spirits. They live in and around mostly lakes and rivers and their shores, and the sea. They are beautiful, always women, and sometimes depicted just as beautiful women with green long hair or, not as often, women with fish tails. They are perfectly capable of walking on land, sing and dance. They can cause storms and floods, and can crash ships. They appear in myths and legends, and can be either mischievous or benevolent.

As a person who practices spiritualism I would say that all types of spiritual entities are real. My mom’s mom, my grandma, is from Barbados and my dads family are from Dominican Republic. They would always tell us about mermaids and other creatures. Found out years later on my spiritual path that there are different worlds and dimensions out there such as the spiritual plane, earth, fire, and water element spirits. The a realm for each and we could only get there through enlightenment. I’ve seen earth elementals the elves, elf’s, or Duende in Spanish culture at my dads brother house. Seen orbs in water and other stuff like that. I’ve been researching topics for months and I’ve encountered so many spiritual beings. All I got left is say is those mythological creatures aren’t so mythological.

Maybe they’re actually sirens! They’re many different cultures have scriptures and history that have stuff about sirens and how can you can think of something you do not know of?
@saucey17423 жыл бұрын
Sirens aren’t mermaids they are bird midens but the mermaids of Haiti are called lasiren which were just mermaids not sirens. The siren is a greek creation and mostly only exist as a Greek creation while mermaids are multicultural.

That is CRAZY!!! In my country, Suriname, we have something similar and we call them watra mama(Creole) translated water mother and I've also heard people say something about a comb and a mirror. But I personally don't know much about them and the story I was told is anything but pleasant.

My guess on why people would be afraid or wish to avoid being kidnapped and taught magic would be that it may have more to do with the enormity of the responsibility that would come with the relationship. Once they've got you, that's it. Your life is no longer your own, I guess, is the way I understand it. There's no going back. I've always thought that some of people who are truly aware of what it means to be in service to spirit, to a deity, to a lwa would prefer to fly under the radar and avoid their attention and the responsibility altogether. Like you said, this isn't disney shit. But I also kindof think that the concept of choice is an illusion. Like who are we kidding? If they want you, they will have you. Resistance is a joke. There's that song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers where he says "Cant stop the spirits when they need you. This life is more than just a read through...."

My grandfather was taken by a mermaid in Haiti but my mom doesn’t really like to talk about it. I think it’s good that they are starting to have tv shows that stop making it seem like mermaids are only good creatures and don’t do bad things or hurt people. I was scared to watch it for a while but I ended up liking the tv show Siren

Mermaids don't have a good reputation (except in the beauty department) they've always been described as man eating. Monsters. If anything, wr we need movies to show them in a better light.

It’s crazy that I am seeing this because I’ve been seeing a lot of people talking about Mermaids lately and claiming to have seen them . I personally have always been interesting in Mermaids because of a documentary a long time ago. I just always believed that it’s possible that a creature like that could exist, there is so much that has yet to be discovered in the ocean. But I think further proof is the fact that almost every culture has some type of history of mermaids. Confirming that they could definitely exist. But I love the video I’m having a blast watching it and learning new things. LOVE IT❤️

I did have a dream as a teenager. In that dream I was a child pretending to fish in a puddle of water in my backyard. I saw real fish in the puddle and decided to reach in and grab one. I kept reaching in for the fish and then a merman hand grabbed mine. He bit my elbows and heels. He tried to pull through to the sea. I escaped from the puddle's hole. He was on the news in the back ground in my dream; running under a bridge by the sea. I noticed him, no one else did on my dream. In JUNE of 2021 my son drowned at the beach. I hope it had nothing to do with those entities. Js smh

Yes LifeWithQwai. They have a contract with the Queen of the Atlantic Ocean. She is the Queen of the Mermaids 🧜♂️. Anybody who steps foot inside a Starbucks is automatically spiritually influenced by the power of the Dark World. Anyone that eats and drinks inside a Starbucks can get in serious spiritual trouble. Your only spiritual defense is to Pray to God Almighty whenever you eat and drink inside a Starbucks. If you pray to Yeshua (Jesus) you will be completely protected, and nothing will affect you. So if someone doesn't even believe in God then you're totally screwed. Same thing with the car manufacturer Maserati. You notice the Trident emblem that they use. It came straight from the underworld kingdom. The Trident is the weapon of choice of the Merman. Yes the men are called Merman. So if you buy a Maserati, you better watch yourself. This is no joke. When people have a contract with the devil, there are a number of people they're supposed to kill for the devil every year in order to keep the contract. So now you see how dangerous it can be when you go inside a Starbucks. This is the reason why you hear a lot people disappear every year, and they're never found. This is a result of human sacrifice. This is a little off the subject but you need to know about this. Why do you think planes cannot fly over the Bermuda Triangle? It's because one of the devil's headquarters is underneath that Triangle 🔺️. It is called Lucifer's White House for those who are in the Occult. And you know what's funny. I'm telling all this, a lot of people won't believe it, but when the Pope discloses the Truth about Aliens aka (Fallen Angels, demons) and all those Mermaids living under the ocean, stating that they're real and live among us.. They will all believe him. Isn't that hypocrisy? For more information watch this video please. My sister saw one in Haiti when she was a lil girl. She said it was beautiful and they wanted her but she was the only one who saw it. The mermaid made it possible for her to see it with her eyes & everyone else didn’t see sh*t. My mom also said that when she was a lil girl and felt someone grabbing her feet after that she never went to the beach till this day. I felt like since the mermaid couldn’t get my mom it tried to get my sister 🤦🏾♂️ shit

Paul Wallis is an ex-priest who's asked those same kinda questions you were mentioning, look him up on youtube I think you might find his perspective interesting. Im not sure if I got the full story, but people said that in some mythology, the sirens that were half women half bird had were punished and fell down into the water, where they grew a fish tail instead -- I forgot how they explained it and what happened but that was the main key points -- so I guess that's why people mistake sirens for bad mermaids

Mermaids can teleport to any form water, no matter how big or small it is. In many circumstances, they can change to human form if they need to. Selkies can remove their seal skins and walk among people as one of their own. The amazon river dolphin mermen can turn into human once a year during a festival where they need to look for a mate. But they still keep their air hole and that's the only thing you can tell me from regular people. I love this video. Just happened to run in to it. Thanks much. I enjoyed it. Will watch the previous ones now. 😍 Also, kudos in describing the sirens correctly. The sirens where once nymphs that serves Persephone before her abduction by Hades. Since they weren't able to protect her, Demeter cursed them into sirens. They're only in one island in Greece, can't remember which one. But they can't leave it. They lure either on purpose or accidentally, sailors into their harbor b'cuz of their songs. Yeah, don't know when the description of them change into Mer-Folks, b'cuz by then. They can leave the island but they're not able to. 😕
