You can see clearly on the back of the package (and more clearly in promo shots) the transforming head is to be used on the Raid on Onigashima Luffy. And I already kind of knew it would be sold out going off of Mandarake.

I think when you popped the head of the regular luffy off to put the dlc, the joint went with it, that’s why the dlc head wouldn’t have where to attach on it. But the extra head for sure is for luffy base, you can see in the back of the package

The gear 5th luffy shf is lighter since he has bendy wire, instead of the usual joints which is more plastic causing it to be heavier.
