If anyone has an issue when running the .jar file that says "failed to start server", the solution is moving your entire folder in the user directory of your disk. I couldn't figure out what was wrong for days until I noticed that my server was in program files. Stay vigilant soldiers.

you can launch using the normal launcher or uncheck the connect using grasscutter option in cultivation

1. you are unable to use your main account at all, meaning hoyoverse cannot ban it. private servers have their own accounts which are 100% disconnected from your 'official server' account. 2. the launcher (which is what im assuming is what you're referring to as the client) is fully open source (people can see what it does) and also used by thousands of others. there are no viruses.

you're better off watching yuuki's tutorial for connecting to his servers, this tutorial is only for locally hosting the server yourself (yuuki also uses lunar core)

genshin doesn't run in a virtual machine period. if you're worried about your normal genshin install, you can just make a copy of the 'Genshin Impact game' folder in your launcher. then point cultivation to that. its 100% safe otherwise!

global distribution error can mean a lot of things. if you aren't receiving help in the discord server, you should continue asking or ping anyone of the support members
