The standing aspect, it's importance can not be over emphasized. Power wheelchairs that allow the occupant to stand have not been around until the last five -six years. There were standing apparatus available in some Therapy facilities and still are, but expensive and temporary. After forty years of SCI, Post injuries have left both of my legs broken below the knees and unrepairable due to bone density loss. No more transfers, a hoist instead.

I so hear you! I have a completely different type of disability that is a progressive neurological disease that also affects my muscles. I am no longer able to safely weight bear, so even doing a transfer has to be carefully thought out and done very quickly and fluently. I work best doing a forward transfer. But the issue is the more strain I put on my muscles the more I deteriorate to the point of being unable to move. So it’s about carefully planning each thing I do throughout each day . My illness fluctuates constantly so it can be difficult to predict. I have severe M.E.

@@PEACEinYESHUA-oj7vc1pk7w or, CFS. You might ask your doctor if you could stand, though you mention you can't, for the benefits. The wheelchair does all the work and the issues that arise wo standing, for any one neurologically immobilized, are a decline to your overall physical well being. I wish you the best!

I’m due to try one of these!!! I am so excited 😆 the thought of standing again would be incredible! However I would need properly strapped in with some sort of harness. I can’t actually weight bear or anything.

I essentially can't weight bare either. ☹️ Though I'd love to get into a standing position and be able to hug others like that. Reach things or just be at eye level too. I think getting into that position might also help me in some other ways. Did you get one like this now or what is new with you? 😊

I just bought one a few months ago but it has a problem, it discharges too quickly I can only go about three miles with it and nothing more. Do you have a solution?

Since an operation has not been a hope for over a decade this might be a good powerwheelchair for me or one of your other reclining power wheelchairs models. For many years I can only stand for a 2 minutes on rare occasion up to 10 but then need bed rest. What is a reps phone number and address for Santa Monica, CA.
