Fran, you keep going. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Ive been quilting for 30 years. It keeps me centered, and excited to get up in the morning. And walking, I try to walk at least 5000 steps a day, every day. Im a senior and walking has helped me sleep better. Good luck with your quilting. Also if your machine acts up retread it, change your needle often.

Your New York Beauty is so beautiful. I love your use of color and fabrics. So free and colorful. I have such a hard time doing that. I tend to matchy matchy. (My husband says matchy isn’t a word, but you get the idea, right?). If I want fabrics to be fun and mixed like you have I bring my 14 year old granddaughter over. She has a great eye and I just do what she says. It is always hard cause my brain says “NO! “, but when I see the finished product and am glad I listened to her. My husband just walked in the room and saw your quilt and said, “Wow! That is really pretty.”

That is an AMAZING border!! I totally love this quilt - and have added it to my to do list! However - this does have an impact on your tag line. "It's only fabric - and it's only thread." You see - if that's what you make with fabric and thread then you may have to reconsider the "only" part and put in "awesome" and "amazing"! It's awesome fabric -and its amazing thread!!
