Yep ... 2018 was the first time I missed it ...threat of rain all weekend kept me away.

I was raised around these kinds of bikes and hot rods in the late 1950s and early 1960s. My father was a motorcyclist and a hot rod & custom car builder. His favorite cars were the Lowey Coupe Studebakers and he put his touch on each of we had up to 1965. Then he bought a Pontiac GTO, and a was Pontiac man until the 1980s. My father had Indian, Harley Davidson, Ducati, motorcycles and even though he is in his 90's now - he still has his 1965 Harley and a `33 Ford covert hot rod. He won't part with them. As for myself, I was and still am a British Sports Car nut. I own a 1953 BSA 650 Golden Flash and a 1948 Norton ES2. The bikes reside in the basement as showpieces. What an Era.

We have sand racing at Pendine, where the land speed record attempts took place. The Vintage Hot Rod Association put on an awesome weekend there every year.

They was a west coast run for one or two years but that seems to have come and gone. They ran in Wisconsin this year for a Harley sponsored event also I believe. But the Wildwood one seems to be the one to beat.

Jim Aagenes it is a collection of songs I picked from the music service I subscribe to. I have to watch out for using any copyrighted content so I have to get my music from sources like that. Not really any songs off albums to my knowledge. I'll look what the tracks were called, maybe the artists have them available elsewhere.

It is a 4K resolution video filmed with a mirrorless camera and a 3-axis gimbal, I don't think that using two songs that are modern takes on 40s-50s songs are out of place. The first and third songs ARE old. Songs. The second and fourth are modern takes on old songs. It just fits my style of video making way better than some modern rock song.

@@raymondo162 it is real racing with real cars that are required to meet period correct configurations. People get hurt pushing their machines for the entertainment of many and the love of it. Have you ever attended it to really see or feel it or just criticizing from a far removed place?
