On virgin airlines, when you were flying a long haul flight, they used to give you a little packet of earphones that you could plug into your seat. And on the arm rest there was a little control pad. You could either watch the latest films, or watch tv shows or listen to music. And in 2006, this album was a new release and it was one of the albums available to listen to on the flight. So I listened to it on repeat for like 8 hours from the UK to the Caribbean. And bought the album when I got home from holiday. I remember that more clearly than I remember the whole vacation.

I've been listening since it was released and the names of the group got old or something. Because I was unaware that Jack White could even play the guitar. Not until I realized they were gonna showcase him in this band. This song was in dedication to an old friend of his but he said goodbye to him a long time ago. And I ain't naming him. Because it's not worth dropping. But anyways, it was a lovely tune, and I want more guitar like this. I'd even dig his vinyl crate, but I wouldn't give the white stripes a listen. It’s funny you say this as I was thinking just the other day how different songs sound to you as you get older. I love that music can change with how and when you listen to it and also what mindset you are in. A funny thing is how you can perceive it too. Many songs can have you think they are about things and then one day you re listen and actually make you realise what it was actually about.
