My grandmother had the same cistern system. Yes, they most likely did drink it. Even though the water came off the roof, it was very clean, and perfectly safe to drink. There was a 'filter system' built into the gutter downspout, the water would run through a barrel type section that contained layers of fine gravel, sand, and charcoal, which was changed out about twice a year. The water was very pure, we took it down to be tested one time, and it was cleaner than the water that came thru the city pipes. It had a very good taste, too.

Two Ladies allowed my cousin and I in in the early/ mid 70s. It was fascinating looking at the Lady in the mirror. The whole house was fascinating! We loved it!

Wow, thank you for sharing this video. I have lived here 30 years and did not know about the castle until a few days ago and was not informed about any of this info except the story of Mary Draper Ingles from coming on the property for the outdoor play.

You know where electro plate rite in Dublin is? Well I go to that cemetery behind it all the time I'm within walking distance from it. I've caught some crazy things there went alone one night a month ago didn't have good lighting but I did catch some shadow figures an misty figures plus I always get some good evp's and don't use a spirit box I get them straight thru my phone camera most you need a audio amplifier an headphones to hear but there are some ive caught that was loud an clear without them.

@@hoodinthewoods lol I do all my filming and editing on my phone too but for now but you really don't need all that high tech cameras or devices to investigate I use apps sometimes plus my pendulums for communications I do have a amf reader but I can help you with what ya need to know or whatever lol I'm on ig but havent been on there in a year I'll look you up on fb so you will know who I am an can send me a message request
