I am from Pakistan from karachi city .. Rahim Shah ka kaarnama ye hai k is ne Pashto songs ko Pakistan k non pashto speakers tak pohuncha diya .. Rahim shah ka pehla gaana Ghum ne Pakistan mein dhoom macha di thi .. Mujhe yaad hai hum jab bhi karachi mein raat ko car mein ghoomte they tou ye hi album sunte they .... Hum non pashto speakers ko kuchh samajh nahi aata tha but hum full enjoy karte they ... My favorite song was SABA RU !! One more thing .. mein ne Rahim Shah ko live bhi suna hai ... kamaal ki baat ye thi k aik Urdu speaking (muhajir) family ne apne ghar ki party mein Rahim shah ko bulaya tha aur sab pashto songs pe dance kar rahe they .. kisi ko lyrics samajh nahi arahe thay but live mein Rahim Shah was great !

Because among the audience there are all types of people like Urdu speakers & Pashto speakers & Punjabi speakers etc so it's better to speak in urdu so every one can understand him. There's nothing wrong with it
