I feel kinda dumb that I only just realized what the point of Prakoso's story was. I was always confused because he seemingly didn't have anything to do with the rest of the movie besides building up the Assassin. But now I see that he foreshadows what Rama will become if he doesn't get out. He thinks he's doing this work for his family's wellbeing, but it's left him estranged from his family and completely alone, fighting every day until he inevitably comes across someone he can't beat.

Hey, saw your remark on the usage of guns, fyi in some asian countries guns are heavily banned for civilians and can get you a really heavy sentence if caught with it, so most of the time even gangs goons use blunt/sharp weapons instead. Furthermore governments there are sometimes a bit sketchy and often have dealings with these gangs (often not by choice) so it's way easier to sweep an incident under the rug if no gun as been used.

It's easy to get confused on the "Mad Dog" part because we remember him as Mad Dog and not his new character. His new character is called Prakoso, Bangun's top assassin. Bejo (cripple) and Uco (Bangun's spoiled son) wanted to instigate a war between Bangun and the Yakuza so killing Bangun's top dog (Prakoso) could send a message. Uco wanted to prove himself worthy of leading a war so that he could impress his father and probably see him as a worthy successor but to do that they needed a "spark" (killing Prakoso). The thing is, Uco knew Prakoso for a long time so he felt he needed to say goodbye to him before betraying him. Killing Prakoso, however, proved useless as Bangun decided to stand down so what Bejo did was send his top 3 assassins to hit Bangun's most important connections and employees.
@grevoron3 жыл бұрын
The best part is when Uco thought Rama's wire (so the police can spy on him) came from Bejo. In the end, Uco would suspect Bejo more than Rama for betraying him. The wrist tattoo didn't help as well since it gave Uco the idea that Bejo was really lying from the beginning and that he was just being used.

>THE RAID 1. >THE RAID 2. >THE NIGHT COME FOR US. Because of the fight in this film, it's like not describing martial arts, but only about "Killing the opponent". If you look at the details of how the combat moves, it's as if depicting a real-world battle (Main beat with random movements with the aim of hurting or killing).

you guys must watch the next sequel, "the night comes for us"

His bones are hardened from the years & decades of training his fists on hard surfaces.he’s probably broken almost every bone in those hands for them to be twice as hard. Boxers hands that’s been boxing for decades also have similar thing.

fun fact is that, the cast who played the villain who killed mad dog , and rama's opponent on the kitchen , is actually one of the martial art trainer for the Indonesian presidential guard squad. Rama, Mad Dog, and him are true martial art experts

This is my story about Mad Dog: Prakoso in The Raid 2 is Mad Dog. Mad Dog feel bored in the fight so he play dead and take a nap. Mad Dog can move so fast that he can work for different mavia group without being noticed. Mad Dog didn't die in second movie either because he and the assassin are friend. They even travel to other universe together to fight legendary John Wick.

Just FYI, the hammer girl (played by Julie Estelle) never played in action movie before. That is her first fight scene. And for your another info, the main char (Iko Uwais) uses Indonesian martial art called Pencak Silat. and for the last info, the knife guy and maddog fight keanu reaves in John Wick 3.

Really cool detail in the boss fights at the end is that Rama kills each of them with their own weapons: stabs Hammer Girl in the neck with her own hammer; bludgeons Bat Boy's face with his own bat; and slices the Assassin up with his own knife
@liquidsnake49432 жыл бұрын
It’s confirmed Rama lives. The subtitles don’t show it but the conversation boils down to the yakuza letting him go free

If I am not mistaken the director wanted to shoot the original gangster movie but he hadn't got enough money to do that. That is why he shoot the Raid:Redemption. And the Raid 2 is that gangster movie he planned first. Sequel would be better without fight scenes because the story itself is really good where Rama is not.main character actually

hammer girl and bat boy was abused as a kid and they killed their father with a hammer and a bat (that's how they stuck with those specific things as weapons). that is also why their mannerism is a bit childlike.

21:01 Snow? In Indonesia?🤣 That scene always stuck me rather odd. One might think that it happen somewhere up north that have 4 seasons, but the stalls behind the car are written 'Lomie Ayam', mean Chicken Noodle in Indonesian.

This is the 3rd movie in a trilogy of this Indonesian “Monty Python” crew where the director has used the same cast members from all 3 movies at some point in all 3 movies. First one was Marentau which is similar to the movie Ong Bak, really good but all hand to hand, no guns.
