I have 2 Samsung digicams the wb150f and w35f both great cameras for casual indoor flash photography.

Digicams YAY! For very little dolloridoos you can expand your collection on this overlooked genre to the point where they over run your displays. I also learned recently that a miniscule 4 or five megapixel digicam is actually about the same res as a 4K tv!

Haha. The collection is growing! Although I believe 4k is about 8mp. Depending on which standard is used UHD or DCI!

@@vinceriggio72 haha :P I do love that generation of digicams. Sometimes the slower operation kind of irritates me be on some models but the full featured control layout and overall hand friendly shapes make up for it! Plus it seemed like a time when manufactures were willing to play with more sensor sizes and lens zoom ranges.

Nice video, and I am a big fan of the Electro 35 GX as well. It was my first rangefinder and still probably my favorite fixed lens RF model. I own two of them, as I couldn't resist picking up a black one a while back at a bargain price. Back when I got my first one around 2009 I purchased a battery adapter from a site called Yashica Guy. Not sure if those are still around, but it was a simple workaround, as you devised yourself. Your on screen presence reminds me a little of the guy (Casey or Kasey?) from Camera Conspiracies.

YAY ! Some digicams are enjoyable to use and produce nice output. Too bad the kool kids have gotten the retro bug and have driven prices up.

Yeah a bunch of them are starting to get out of hand. But I do still find it's possible to thrift some neat digicams and even find some online still at relatively normal prices.

I actually prefer the GL, vs. GX. I find the GX is a bit to small for my hands, *and* the GL goes up to ISO 1600, where the GX stops at 800. The GL has the same 40mm lens and same silicon diode meter system.

Ah cool. I haven't owned a GL but I'll have to keep my eye out for one!

@@Mr50mmish I really like that that the GL is mid way in size between the original electro and the smaller bodies. The other hidden gem rangefinder of the 1960s is the Fujica Compact Deluxe. It has a CDS meter with the recommended aperture in the viewfinder, it uses a modern battery, has both manual and shutter AE, and it is the size of the GX but it has a rear focus dial so the smaller body size is easier to work with.
