Honestly you should have mentioned that his range will ALMOST always be actually global, it reaches the whole track now. Despite dps nerf, it still holds quite a lot of value, stack its range boost with dj and you have a whole 50% range buff to your towers, which is also pretty insane sometimes

The ranger has now become my favorite tower after this rework. It's just so fun to use, because of his passive, splash, and INSANE damage. I'd put the ranger in high A tier or low S tier. Accelerator is still the better pick, though. Since it has better value, reliability, higher DPS, and higher placement limit.

I've tried the ranger. I maxed all 6, but you need to be very good at buying and placing farms in a specific way to get the maximum amount of money possible without reaching too far into the game. I bought Ranger 2 days ago and I love having him. I then finally have a loadout that a pro player would have.

The range buff is HUGE! It can now easily cover almost every map if it has cliff. Plus, the range is already maxed out when placed (50) so he can provide coverage no matter where or when hes placed!

However, the new ranger has lower placement limit which you are allowed to place more powerful towers to replace the 4 placement limit ranger has lost. Thus compressing the overall dps into a much higher value for your loadout. Overall, quite handy

If gets buff that would bring back his level 5 his looks and stats well be amazing by that i mean he gets a longer gun and new long scope and blue neon everywere on his suit and a new big backpack and his placement limit gets increase to 8 and it starting cost 3.750 to place.And his range gets increase to 75 and damage gets increase to 7.250 and now deals headshot damage of 7.725 but chance of 25% of happening and firerate gets increase to 5.25 and gets hidden dectetion splash damage gets bigger now hits to six ennemis the six ennemis gets damaged by 1.110 and alone ennemis gets by 6.660 damage to six and mixed with headshot damage mixed the ennemis gets damage by 21.635 when he headshots and now range buff it's 25% now and now permanent but mixed with dj booth at max increase the range buff 60% thats insane and the range of the buff of ranger is bigger and the upgrade cost 44.000 cash but disconte by dj booth give it at level 3 a discont 10% at the cost his 39.600 cash to upgrade and at the cost his level 5 a 20% discont to 35.200 cash to upgrade for the DPS its unknow and if gets his level 5 back i will give him a high legendary tier.

imo i think it get worse in term of single target dps, because Ranger mainly use for killing single unit, u have mortar to do better job for crowd control the animation is sick, buffing other tower range is fine addition (kinda niche because cliff sometime faraway) and its only buff a while but other than that i think its worse for my use oof

its definately not s tier, more like mid-high A tier the only thing that stops it from being completely outclassed by other towers is that it is overall a near perfect tower for every gamemode, only downside being no hd but ranger is still solid esp for events

for me i recomend spamming lvl 3 and 4 rangers and not max level ones in a game rangers rework has gotten him from a low A to an High A in my list of towers but here are the problems with ranger i found bothering me the most 1. the cost and placement is too damn expensive 2. ranger is a good tower but the max level splash area and dmg is kinda small.. for me i would personally think 250 splash dmg would do the job but with it below would also increase the cost of the upgrade by an prob 5 - 8K 3. rangers firerate at max is heavily increased and the waiting of 7 seconds can be wasted on a speedy enemy with 17 hp left instead of a tanky enemy with 4000 hp meaning that you have to wait a whole 7 seconds again before the ranger can deal damage, i highly recommend placing accels and minis to kill the other smaller enemies while rangers target the bigger threats like tanky enemies, mini bosses and alot more.. ( in more simple words set ranger setting on strongest.. i know yall be like HEY DUDE YOU ARE SO DUMD FOR MENTIONING A PROBLEM ALR SOLVEDDD i know but i still see many players doing those in matches like setting it on first so that is why i deceided to mention it.. and so sorry if i offended you once again this is just my personal opinion )

What I do is place a bunch of farms, and level them up until they are 4 or 5, and then get rangers which are level 3, but in endgame I max them because for fun. I am new to using the ranger so I am not really sure about any starts or stuff which can help.

If u want get 6 maxed rangers. you need take more than 250k money. Making dps bigger is good but accelerator still better. Man.. it’s still not as good as it used to be. Back before commander was nerfed, ranger was better than accelerator. This was because of its OP damage with commander, commander made this tower SHRED bosses even faster than accelerator, though to be fair, the fire rate bug was still a problem back then.

I feel like this is more of a nerf because now Ranger is so expensive it is literally only for late-game, and it even has less DPS and value in single target. Ranger's passive ability is also pretty useless as the 15% increase barely makes a dent in a tower ranger. You would much rather use DJ for range.

Even if the ranger got a bigger damage per single target, its splash damage is mediocre, mortar has not just a better splash damage, but way better dps and cheaper, although for the sake of only 5 tower slots, the ranger covers it, and with the range buff, this is extremely usefull in hardmode, but the hight cost makes it IMPOSIBLE to max in hardmode, so who knows how it will perform in ACT 3 in halloween 2023 or hardmode

Ranger, in my opinion, was never a great tower. This rework I would say was an overall buff but I feel like S tier is overkill. To max out 6 rangers (without dj) it would cost you 378,000 cash. I would much rather get 6 engineers with that since it has a much better dps and has better AoE damage. I would say ranger is a high B tier or low A, S tier is overkill.

Also once again i am still a pursuit fanboy and i see now ranger is trying to copy pursuit 1 both reject stun abuse 2 both are blind(both cant see hiddens) 3 both use machines from the future 4 both damages leads 5 also now both do splash damage But pursuit is still better why? (Totally not biased) 1 has actually usefull splash damage 2 will not cost your kidney to max up(63.000 to max ranger compared to pursuit "only" Costing 43.000 im pretty sure) 3 has a higher placement limit 4 i like helicopters

Idk if my math is right but i think it takes 22.8s to kill molten boss with coa and 30.4s with out coa and i think 48.8s kill fallen king with coa and 65.1s with out coa ( i just used a calculator to do the maths and dont even know if its right )
