The only road for Janibek really depends on how Top Rank decides to move: have a tune up fight at 168, make Mbilli target the winner of Scull-Shishkin and then make an in house fight for Janibek to get a title shot at 168. That's if Canelo does not decide to regain His title, wich I doubt it

Good assessments to everyone. I wonder, if the pbc didn’t waste 5 years to allow spence to fight bud, would’ve we seen bud fight in the 160 class perhaps against lara. I think that would’ve been a good fight. Now bud is fast tracking to retire. I think anyone that things bud wants canelo just for the money is not thinking …bud is always serious, never caps, is really nasty. If he fights canelo, the money will happen but you can believe he is going for the win.

Janibek is clearly the best boxer at 160. It’s not close. Adames probably wouldn’t last the distance against him. His problem is that he’s too big for the division. He’s got to move up. He won’t touch Canelo.. there’s a difference from fighting in undersold arenas to jumping into a big fight like Canelo and expecting to handle the pressure. Janibek is a very good fighter but a lot of people hype him up based on vacant belts. Look how Jaime and berlanga crumbled. And Jaime has won a belt before and he was super oversized for the Canelo fight and Canelo walked him down all night countering him.
