The Rant is Due - Bakersfield, CA

DISCLAIMER: Apologies for the audio clipping! It took hours of painstakingly compling of short clips and I don't have a professional studio software to clean it up much better, but feedback either way is welcome.

Backstory: A few years ago I went to see comedian Lewis Black in Bakersfield at the Fox Theater and it was a blast! I even had 3rd row seating which was an experience to say the least. I even got yelled at! (in jest, of course) during the show. True story!
As the show starts, there is a bit that Lewis does called "The Rant is Due" where people from cities he performs in can write-in for Lewis Black to make a hilarious rant and/or give advice about. These videos were only available for 2 weeks on his website and removed permanently thereafter. This is not too surprising since every show is in a different city when he does his comedy tours.
Given the knowledge of this at the time, I decided to try and scrape the video from online, but after days worth of actively trying to get the video in any possible way I could manage, I had finally figured out a pretty tedious method on how to do so. It
involves 83 individual video clips, but when it was rearranged it became an audible disaster of each video slightly clipping over the other videos in 3-8 second intervals for the entirety of the video.
I couldn't find a video editor aside from a couple which produced a horrible finished video.
Somehow, here comes Windows 11 to the rescue (and maybe Windows 10 idk) with their own, rebranded, and rarely advertised version of Windows Movie Maker: ClipChamp. And the bizarre video clip format that I was stuck with 83 of is actually supported in ClipChamp. There are some audible gaps rather than clipping over each other, but I thought I'd post it as I've sunk several hours trimming each end of all of those clips.

Just love Lewis, real laugh out loud stuff... I'm an Aussie living in Queensland near Brisbane. From his initial commentary I thought Bakersfield was a small place. 😳 I google earthed (if that's even a word) and bloody hell it looks huge..! What is the population? Anyway that's in contrast to what I'm used to here in Australia...

Appreciate it! And we're at about 400 thousand. We are packed out here in this desert! Lol. It's smaller by contrast to the Bay area with big cities a couple hours drive north, or Los Angeles about 1-2 hours south. Also, for as many people as there are here, there's not much to do! I like it though, lived here most of my life. Would I love to move or just travel? You betcha! But I can't complain, we make it work alright out here haha.
