Just imagine in our lifetime us people who have only recently got into collecting have spent a kew Gardens at shop not knowing the value it is for collectors but I'm really glad now what to look out for my friend collected coins when we were young boys and I could never understand why but now down to you channel and I'm not just saying this because I love your channel its really got me looking at my coins before I spend them

So today I was going through my change and I found an error £1 coin. The writing in around the edge of the coins was written on the wrong side, so "One Pound" was written on the side of the queen's head and "Queen Elizabeth II ..." Was written on the other side whereas it should have been the other way round. It this of any value? I got really exited when I saw it 😀

@@LAFTA Not which way up, the writing which is meant to be at the back was stamped onto the front, and the writing which is meant to be on the front was stamped onto the back. Have a look at a £1 coin and you'll see. I'm pretty sure it was an error

i'm from jersey... we have out own coinage, still british sterling, but ours. we can spend them in the channel islands, but not in the uk. but i don't bother sorting my change, people in uk rarely notice.

Great jersey coin. I found a 2012 one which only minted 5000 in this year so a little more rarer than 2003 but brilliant find anyway.👏

They minted coins for the next three years with that date. 365,000 in total so nowhere near as rare as Christopher’s find unfortunately.

I did an 80 pound 50 pence hunt came across an isle of man moterbike raceing coin benijumin bunny bejiamin britten coin 3 roger banster 4 min mile coins and 2 dicnary coins no luck on flopsey bunny or the orher 2 pagginton coins or sherlock or the peoples act i only have 70lmpic coins so far and 10 of the 2 pound coins out of the 36

I wanted to ask, I have not seen it on any video but 3 years ago In a cafe i work at we had a 50p coin with the kew gardens picture but around the top edge it had written yew gardens . Where do you get such a big bag of coins from I asked in post office once and got asked for a change card - when I said what they said you have to be a business customer - kind of put me off even Nationwide got funny when I asked and I had to pay money in then withdraw to be able to get change - HSBC was fine swapped notes for coins but no big unopened bags like in this video so where you get that from?

These valuations for a 50p are only real if you realise that value when liquidating them. Then if you used the fiat currency to acquire real money, gold and silver you would have the spot price that determines their fiat value. I would rather have a gold sovereign than your 50p.
