One of my friends had that expansion, I think. Wasnt it called the super Amiga? It was a cd32 with a keyboard, a mouse and a floppy disk. It had the best of both worlds.

The cd32 was such a cool console and it didnt got the love it deserved back then. Im still waiting for an official mini cd32 from the guys that made the mini Amiga. Its the best way to play Amiga games, either by real hardware or emulation.

sx1 was popular. the holy grail was the sx32

Make the SX32-Pro 50 the "Holy Grail"! The SX-1 suffered from power issues if you maxed out the Ram and added a hard drive! It was a good option when A1200s began to run out in 1995 though!

Great video. What a rare find! At 11:17 you say 60 gig hard drive. You meant 60 MB hard drive, correct?
@RetroWK5 ай бұрын
That is correct sir! 60MB.

I'd tell you the actual holy grail Amiga expansion but I have a saved eBay search setup for it 🙂

Good old times of chunky computers. Interesting how things were built to last. You could probably drive a car over the peripheral and it would still work.

Nice useful add-on for the CD32. BTW, I've never managed to get an SD card HD to work with an A1200. CF cards are great though.

Odd, I have several SD card boot drives that work great with mine. Both my 600’s have cap damage that destroyed the ide pin headers, but I have plans to repair them… someday.

@@whochecksthis Cool on the SD cards. Shame about your A600's.

I have one of this piece but it is in maybe even more rare piece of hardware and that is a unit together with a CD32 and this SX1 in a 19" metal case. It is call WS500 and I think it was suppose to be in am info kiosk.

My CD32 & SX-1 are tucked away in my storage unit..wull have to dig them out & fire them up ..was used as a replacement for my A500 (which i still have along with the A570 CD drive) - its a real pity i dont have tge space to get them all out & working

Same here. Too many machines are in cardboard boxes. A real shame.

Commodore just kept coming out with some cool stuff but often it pretty much just duplicated what was already out there! Kinda like SEGA did with its consoles. I always saw it as why should I buy the what I already had but with a few extra bells and whistles?
@josephphillips92435 ай бұрын
It may be rare but I have seen two of these in the last 5 months, in great condition, struggle to get sold and at reasonable prices, equivalent $USD375. I don't know why. Anyway I am guessing people watching your video will now want to buy them 😀

What the heck is this? Let’s sit down and watch this! Tulip aka Dutch crap computers 😂 But what a cool thing. This makes the Amiga32 actually a useful machine. But indeed, it’s extremely bulky.
