Sounded like a machine, but we are not, we can feel strongly and deeply. Stoicism is just goal oriented but when you achieved whatever this world can give, with out a heart that is found with another human nature will be cold and empty as a human being. Remember those worldly things you accomplished will be left in the world, but when you have a heart to welcome people in your life, you will have to share with someone who was with you along the way and enjoy of the love and support if a family. I am INFJ. Anyone else? I feel INFJ females would resonate a lot with this video. I Have friends but prefer my own company. I’m mostly calm, and go about my own business. I am persistent and quietly accomplish my goals. I don’t envy or get jealous of others, I follow my own path. I acknowledge that people will come and go in our life, so therefore you need to rely solely on yourself and never trust anyone completely. I have been told I come across confident yet at the same time I’ve been told I’m mysterious, aloof and quiet. I’m a lot more out going around loved ones. I never felt like I truely belonged in any group. Even with friends, I felt like I didn’t have a best friend or someone who would pick me yet, when I voice my opinion it is heard and my colleagues come to me for advice a lot. Definitely many contrasts but it was interesting to see another label put to my personality. Edit: How amazing to see so many responses from INFJs and INTJs! I Wish I had the means of meeting you all! It would be an amazing group to hang out with ❤

I'm just confused at why I felt I was doing more and she would say she was back and forth back and forth. Despite my commitment to weed I held the fort cooked. Cleaned. Shopped tried to look a free my dog physically on walks all whilst suffering with ankylosing spondylitis. I was bed bound over the past two years and what little energy I did have was to cling onto myself anyway possible. A few observations. Women in friend groups are often in 3s, alpha, beta, and sigma. The sigma is always the friend who has their own thing going but dips in and out, not separate but solo. Sigma’s rely on competence as their value because they learned early on that feelings and appearance are subjective, usually through a parent with some form of instability, and no guarantee of value, but no one can argue with what you can do. That is why they have their own internal compass as well. When they can see the world as it is, unfair, and that age is no substitute for experience and wisdom, they develop their own moral code and as a result are less susceptible to influence.

SORRY, I WAS BORN this way. I was in the woods teaching myself to track for fun by 6 yrs old after teaching myself by reading books. By 8 yrs old I was taking friends and keeping them protected. I broke my first horse at 13 yrs old. I could build or fix just about anything by 12 yrs old. Maybe not perfectly but enough to make it work. My parents will attest to self reliance and refusal to let society tell ME anything as young as 4 yrs old. I refused to speak until 4 yrs old when they made me. I could speak I just refused to. That's how defiant I have always been. I started people watching and learning at birth and never stopped. It IS a trait you are born with... it only gets stronger. I can always spot sigma children. The one trait you left out... a deep hunger and curiosity for education. We don't just find the world curious and learn by watching... we can't learn enough. There's always something else to learn. That drive and hunger NEVER goes away. I am older now and I'm still just as hungry for more things to learn. You say it's about improving ourselves... but it's actually about testing ourselves. The education is the improvement. Bettering ourselves comes from constantly testing ourselves, it's a natural side effect. I do NOT believe it is a learned or developed trait. Through decades of study... the only true sigmas I've ever seen... Were born that way. Wild and free from day one. It's NOT something I can control, it's ingrained in my personality. I can't fight it, never could. My natural personality always wins in the end, usually getting me in trouble for not following someone's rules. I would try like hell but that hungry curiosity always got the best of me.

Well apparently I'm a sigma female. Haven't come across this terminology before, but I definitely resonate with the way they described her. I've never quite fit in and although I grew up incredibly programed and repressed (I had to escape a cult and a very toxic, narcissistic, and sexually abusive bio family), I believe the qualities described in this video is how I got out when many other friends and family members are still stuck in that hell. I'm still healing and regaining my personal power, but I'm thankful for the innate abilities I seem to carry because it's helping me overcome some insanely deep wounds, stuff that has had me considering ending it all at times, but I'm still here. I'm making my own way and finding peace one step at a time. Not caring what others thought and being very focused on what was right for me even though it meant losing contact with everything and everyone I was familiar with is what gave me the strength to get out. My life is very unconventional now. It's stressful and overwhelming often as I make my own way on the outside, but it's MINE. I don't owe my successes to anyone but myself. And the successes are not about money and power (from a 3d standpoint I have very little of either), they are about personal freedom and changing the way I think about myself and the world. 💪🌻

Listening to this description makes a female want to be this type of woman, thing is though, it's not a cake walk and it takes time and effort to develop the qualities inherent in any type of human being. The simple fact of being an introvert gives a human an advantage spiritually because there's more quiet, alone time to contemplate life and there are far less distractions that an extrovert has. INFJ here, a lot of these things resonate. I don't count my growth in stages, i just go by what feels good to me and only to me. Never cared about what society thinks is right or wrong, i do my own thing. I'm quietly confident, i heard people saying i radiate a mysterious energy, but confident in herself, which is true. Not feeling superior, but feeling authenticly myself & loving myself. Not comparing myself to others, sometimes others are inspiration but never competition or judging them, everyone has their own struggles.

At the end of the school year I would clean out the backpack and find many crumpled up award certificates given to my Sigma son. He didn’t care about awards…he focused on the activity he was doing and his own motivation for doing it, and then moved on to the next adventure! Integrity is another factor that is ingrained in a Sigma personality…they would never accept praise or awards for things they felt were not earned. Sigmas are not easily swayed, and are not slaves to fads or trends…they are more likely to be eclectic, original, complex. They think outside the box.

As an INTJ, I related to a lot of these traits. I believe it’s an apt description because I am instinctively introverted. I can be “on” when necessary, but I can only tolerate doing it in small doses. The intuition stems from trusting oneself, which requires self awareness and acceptance. I’m always thinking and strategic. I view the J not as literal judgement, but analyzing. How can you be strategic without first observing and making an assessment? Another trait (perhaps a byproduct of the others) is being focused. “White noise” distractions waste time and energy. An example: When I noticed that the descriptions started to sound like redundant fillers, I stopped the video, made my observations and am now moving on from my break to get back to my planned projects/objectives for the day.

I normally don’t buy much into the alpha/beta paradigm, and clicked on this video chuckling to myself in the irony of it. Then you described exactly what I’m like. I’ve traveled over 30 countries, most of them dangerous, and most of them on my own. I sometimes feel in my social groups that I’m the only one comfortable on my own. Every stage of my life has been intentional in terms of personal growth. If I have to be dependent on someone else, I wrestle with it every time. Like most here, I am somewhat astonished that the entire video describes me in every way. Although, i do struggle very much in one area, being extremely critical of myself when I make an easy mistake or a series of mistakes (like a terrible afternoon at work) yet I never judge anyone for making the same mistakes. I believe mom would have been an INFJ because lots of girlfriends would come and ask for advice; sometimes even on how to talk to their own parents. Dad was a Virgo. So mom was able to guide me so I did not feel awkward and different. She was my biggest hero as well as to my daughter. Passed in 1996. So your travels were likely way more difficult. But YES when I had the test it opened doorways for self esteem and growth. It is difficult though with classmates and later on w/coworkers. The irony is that I'm falsely labelled as alpha all the time for being assertive, never backing down from disrespect/confrontation especially when I'm standing on my principles of whats right. Every guy in the comments claims he is one, but don't realise how f*cking rare the sigma male really is. I've always been this way for as long as i could remember. I had friends but they approached me. I was the first of my siblings to leave home. I had $100 in my pocket and a bus ticket. I've been gone a while now and i made a great life for myself doing exactly what i wanted to do despite everyone saying i should be a nurse. I don't have much and im going for more but I'm so happy with what i have and my potential to get more. Nobody's approval is needed.

Actually yes, it is , this describes me perfectly , but I just discovered that it’s called “sigma female “…. One particularity of this attitude is because I see things much further than other people. Video talks lots about strategy but it is more about adapting to each situation that can change in any moment. This capability can be persuaded as strategy but it is not.
