Exactly. The days feel long and boring because nothing happens. And the years feel so fast, because we dont remember events. Simply cause many people just keep themselves trapped in this miserable and repeatend life.

I graduated two years ago, and since then, I've been working. I only had 15 vacation days during that time, and at one point, I really felt trapped. My mood deteriorated day by day. While the pay was good, my motivation plummeted to zero. In the past few weeks, I’ve been calculating how much money I need to save in order to take a break from work. I found myself doing this every single day as I walked into the office. Last week, my boss informed me that my contract wouldn’t be renewed, and for the first time in two years, I feel like I can breathe again. What kind of life is it to work eight hours a day, only to be too exhausted to do anything else and feel no sense of purpose? The entire system is disgusting. The cost of living keeps artificially rising, making us even more dependent on our jobs. We need to break free from this slave system.

The only way to break free from it is to set out a plan and chip away at it day by day instead of waiting for something to happen. It's easier said than done, but one step each day is more than not taking a step at all. I enjoy what I do each day because I compete with myself instead of others and compare myself to who I was yesterday. You will never be the best out of everyone else, but you can be the best of yourself. You just have to go and find that and set yourself up by doing what you can now. We're all brothers and sisters and deserve the best for ourselves, but only when we go for it and define that for ourselves instead of chasing someone else's dream(a fancy car, massive house, million dollar bank account, 6 figure salary, etc.)I hope you are able to make a difference for yourself and I believe you can. Remember that materialistic possessions are temporary and only give us a short-term high. If things don't go how you hoped, make the best of it, and it does go how you hope, then great.

This is real. I watched a video that made me laugh several times. I them challenged myself to replay the bits that made my laugh in my head. I could barely recall anything. It was really difficult. I watched it minutes prior. We've trained our brains to push aside one thing to get ready for the next fix. It's shocking and half the time we're not even aware how little we can retain until we reflect. But you can't reflect because your brain is like excuse me? I need stimulating at all times. We can't just sit and think! I'm trying to cut down on this everything brick in my hands.

Today I live at the caribbean in mexico, I live a gew blocks away from the beach, and got a boring job with no boss, where I got paid to just sit on a desk 8 hours on a 5 diamond resort doing nothing but wherever I want. I'm glad I got to see a world where not even cheap calculators were available. Car phones were for rich businessmen. Bag phones were for wealthy travelers who flew a lot and couldn't count on a rental car having a built in phone. Computers were large mainframes that only big institutions could buy and actually use. And libraries used the card catalog system to help you find books.

Rich people are either heirs, entrepreneurs, artists, athletes or influencers. Nobody's ever gotten rich because of a wage. That being said, I do think that there is beauty and dignifity in having a regular 9-5 job. There are many videos of people showing their regular day-to-day who get a lot of comments from people who say "this is depressing". Truth is, the absolute majority of people live like this and we shouldn't expect to have super exciting adventures all the time. Most of the people hating on those videos live regular, "boring" lives themselves. Awesome video as always, mate. I love your content.

It’s all about perspective. You can choose to view this life as soul crushing or you can put the phone down and be in the moment and enjoy life. @1:46 is a great example, he had the potential to make a friend or girl friend, but freaked out and pulled out his phone. We decide who we want to be everyday through our thoughts and actions.

@@kasniporasni that’s a very shallow mindset to have, but it is understandable. There are women out there who will stick with a man who is not wealthy given he shows signs of the ability to support her and a family in the future, aka he has drive to better himself.

@@Sai24Kobe just to clarify im not arguing your point but people in life are sometimes stuck like STUCK in a situation and theres literally nothing you can do to better it its not specifically about the girl sire people make decisions and the consequences of those decisions is what you have to live with. You can choose to live with that dollar or choose to grind it out another way but we have to account for emotion, surroundings, family life, just talking about him asking her isnt that bad sure try it WONT COST YOU ANYTHING but the chances ARE LOW not non-existant but just lower than before that she doesnt care about what financially you have to offer, and you cant better yourself if thr 2000 job you have is the one that pays better than the other ones you might find which the 2000 is just enough to cover debts and stuff, promotions arent a thing because you are not someones favourite or they make more money having you in your current position rather than promoting you and having a less efficient guy at your last position, like i said people get stuck in life and unless you take action theres some things you cant do untill you reach a set type of bettering yourself. As an example ill take myself i have to leave my country because im so financially stuck that if i aska girl out for coffee the next day i cant even have a 0.50 cent bagel and have to stay hungry the chances of finding a girl that will want to go for a walk in the park instead out forna coffee are also slim but never 0. Thats why its called "the rat race" every rat doesnt make it.

I am a teenager of barely 14 years old and I am already worried about not falling into this system when I am 20 years old. According to what I know, even though I am very young, I know that literally everything is moved by money. People say that they do not need money to be happy but those same people are the ones who dedicate so much work to get money of barely 1500 euros that later they can only use about 100. I don't know if I explain myself, I am translating this with google and I am not very smart right now either. Simply, if you are my age more or less I recommend that you start working now, because if there is one thing I have learned is that if you work hard now you can later spend more time resting, in your older times.

Surely that's not the case if you truly enjoy your office job though? I mean, I'm a 9-5 office worker relatively early in my career (3 y), but I've been enjoying it so far, and we all need purpose. I don't have a rich dad to just abandon this and have 50 business/start up attempts with load of safe liquidity, so I'll take the routine and the peace of mind that comes with it. My rule is to break the routine on weekends and use my annual leave days in a way that aligns with what I value the most. And the boring bit will have provided the means to do so ($$). Dunno, it feels like it's balanced enough for me, although I definitely agree with the phone usage aspect.

Public transport in the U.S. is a half-hearted joke. It's either grudgingly implemented by local governments or cynically spun-off as a public-private partnership. The P-P public transports assault the senses with wall-to-wall advertisements, inside and outside. The idea that public spaces were created for our benefit and financed by our taxes to show that our input matters, are long gone.

The west is ripe for a Soviet solution to lack of affordable housing in great quantities. Not that the Soviet system was great but, it's that we've fallen that far. Nikita Khrushchev built thousands of Khrushchevkas (giant 5-story apartment complexes) which addressed the problem. They were cheap, easy to build, ultra cheap to rent, and quite small. A Soviet citizen could also pay a modest mortgage payment over a 10 year span and own it outright. No property taxes or tricks to evict you as in the U.S. You owned it free and clear. They were bare bones apartments and didn't have elevators because they were only 5 floors. BUT, the security of knowing that tiny flat was your place gave them the kind of freedom that we can only fantasize about today.
