I graduated two years ago, and since then, I've been working. I only had 15 vacation days during that time, and at one point, I really felt trapped. My mood deteriorated day by day. While the pay was good, my motivation plummeted to zero. In the past few weeks, I’ve been calculating how much money I need to save in order to take a break from work. I found myself doing this every single day as I walked into the office. Last week, my boss informed me that my contract wouldn’t be renewed, and for the first time in two years, I feel like I can breathe again. What kind of life is it to work eight hours a day, only to be too exhausted to do anything else and feel no sense of purpose? The entire system is disgusting. The cost of living keeps artificially rising, making us even more dependent on our jobs. We need to break free from this slave system.

The only way to break free from it is to set out a plan and chip away at it day by day instead of waiting for something to happen. It's easier said than done, but one step each day is more than not taking a step at all. I enjoy what I do each day because I compete with myself instead of others and compare myself to who I was yesterday. You will never be the best out of everyone else, but you can be the best of yourself. You just have to go and find that and set yourself up by doing what you can now. We're all brothers and sisters and deserve the best for ourselves, but only when we go for it and define that for ourselves instead of chasing someone else's dream(a fancy car, massive house, million dollar bank account, 6 figure salary, etc.)I hope you are able to make a difference for yourself and I believe you can. Remember that materialistic possessions are temporary and only give us a short-term high. If things don't go how you hoped, make the best of it, and it does go how you hope, then great.

As an example ill take myself i have to leave my country because im so financially stuck that if i aska girl out for coffee the next day i cant even have a 0.50 cent bagel and have to stay hungry the chances of finding a girl that will want to go for a walk in the park instead out forna coffee are also slim but never 0. At the beginning of the video, we see that the day is October 10, 2024. At 1:30, we see that his computer says 5:59 PM but his phone alarm went off at 5:00 PM, so it is an hour ahead of real life. But that’s not all; the date on the computer shows Tuesday, January 18, which is way off month wise, BUT the last time January 18 fell on a Tuesday was in 2022. That computer’s date and time are extremely out of sync. 😂

I am a teenager of barely 14 years old and I am already worried about not falling into this system when I am 20 years old. According to what I know, even though I am very young, I know that literally everything is moved by money. People say that they do not need money to be happy but those same people are the ones who dedicate so much work to get money of barely 1500 euros that later they can only use about 100. I don't know if I explain myself, I am translating this with google and I am not very smart right now either. Simply, if you are my age more or less I recommend that you start working now, because if there is one thing I have learned is that if you work hard now you can later spend more time resting, in your older times.

Strange, I’ve always thought the opposite. Time doesn’t fly for me. It goes far too slow. The days are long, the weeks are long, months are long, the years are long. I feel like I’ve lived 4x as long as I already have. It feels like my time is already overdue. Surely that's not the case if you truly enjoy your office job though? I mean, I'm a 9-5 office worker relatively early in my career (3 y), but I've been enjoying it so far, and we all need purpose. I don't have a rich dad to just abandon this and have 50 business/start up attempts with load of safe liquidity, so I'll take the routine and the peace of mind that comes with it. My rule is to break the routine on weekends and use my annual leave days in a way that aligns with what I value the most. And the boring bit will have provided the means to do so ($$). Dunno, it feels like it's balanced enough for me, although I definitely agree with the phone usage aspect.

Public transport in the U.S. is a half-hearted joke. It's either grudgingly implemented by local governments or cynically spun-off as a public-private partnership. The P-P public transports assault the senses with wall-to-wall advertisements, inside and outside. The idea that public spaces were created for our benefit and financed by our taxes to show that our input matters, are long gone.

The west is ripe for a Soviet solution to lack of affordable housing in great quantities. Not that the Soviet system was great but, it's that we've fallen that far. Nikita Khrushchev built thousands of Khrushchevkas (giant 5-story apartment complexes) which addressed the problem. They were cheap, easy to build, ultra cheap to rent, and quite small. A Soviet citizen could also pay a modest mortgage payment over a 10 year span and own it outright. No property taxes or tricks to evict you as in the U.S. You owned it free and clear. They were bare bones apartments and didn't have elevators because they were only 5 floors. BUT, the security of knowing that tiny flat was your place gave them the kind of freedom that we can only fantasize about today.
