Marwan is right. In the UK the IRA were designated a terrorist group, it formed two wings, one was military called the IRA and the other was the political wing Sinn Fein. In the end a committee decided there was no choice other than for the PM John Major government to talk to the IRA, secretly. When an outcome had been agreed the IRA disarmed and Sinn Fein fought in the elections during PM Tony Blairs government. So violence is no answer but it seems the best solution when people refuse talks, as Israel keeps doing to avoid negotiating. In the misjudged view that they can win with purely violent methods and the palestinians will just leave.

So question now is, will US and Israel pound Gaza looking for Sinwar, and risk a 9/11 attack in USA or somewhere else. Someone in Europe needs to sit down with Israel and say oil pipeline on border of Lebanon, Syria and Israel becomes a UN demilitarized zone, Saudi Arabia/Arab League builds Singapore on the Med with the Palestinian Authority and Israel war reparations and Gaza royalties assists.
