I can remember going to see the Gap at Albany in 1986. We were there to see the Australian motorcycle TT races. We were sort of overwhelmed by the violent shaking of the surrounding rocks of the Gap, but it wasn't till much later that we realised this was aftershocks from the earthquake that destroyed the WA country town of Meckering!

Whoo hoo, another episode! I'll leave a comment after the vlog. WOW! it's always a bit scary when you finally decide that there is nothing for it BUT to take you child to hospital! Been there done that! more than once. Still, all's well that ends well! Well done that you were close enough by. Normally you would not be. I'm sure it was nothing, but you never know with kids. PERHAPS you might look into having a small O2 kit (bottle mask and lines) in the van should similar happen again. Do the course (both of you - it's not hard), and then if any of the kids have an anaphylactic reaction you can at least administer some O2. Perhaps even consider getting an Eli-pen to keep close by in the 1st Aid kit. If you're remote it might be just the thing. It can't hurt if not required.

Well guys we suppose you are glad that week is over, sickness on the road is never enjoyable, croup is not a good thing when you're a kid and probably even more so if you are the parent of the child. As a child I suffered from it a lot but in those days we had only very basic treatments such as Vicks Vapour rub under the nose and on the chest or Vicks in a bowl of hot water and breathing the vapour with a towel over your head, amazing the way those memories imprint on you.❤❤

If you put your boat in what you called a lake, is actually Princess Royal Habour, directly over there other side of the harbour is one of the sister whale boats of the whale boat that is at the whaling station sitting on the habour floor rotting away, you can drive your boat right up to it.

Did you ever stay at Sue’s Bridge ? I think it was a state park bottom WA. We stayed there about a week in 1999. I think back then it was donation ?$5 a night & wood was supplied for fire.

The whale museum looks amazing and so much history. Ollie is certainly getting adventurous taking on the stairs.
