@@YaBoyRockLee The whole 1 man conflict wasn't really the only goal, Ainz really wants to make a good kingdom, but since he is undead people will always be against him, "Momon" is supposed to be a sort of scale to "keep in check" and "watch over" Ainz to see if he will mistreat the people that live in his kingdom. So Momon will be the balance and the comfort for people whilst Ainz starts making changes to the kingdom to make it better, because as we have seen the kingdom is corrupt. Then whilst people remain in a calm but vigilant way against Ainz he can start showing the good that he can do for the kingdom then eventually "Momon" will no long be needed because eventually people will see Ainz as a good undead. Also this whole kingdom creation is his experiment to see if he can make a good kingdom where he can implent thing that he wants. On a side note, Gazef, if you pay attention Ainz said that THEIR people cant revive him because their level of ressurection magic isn't strong enough.

Think back to season 2, episode 13, when Demiurge and Ainz are discussing the 3rd benefit of "Jaldabaoth's Debut" raid; the large-scale acquisition of human... er, ''resources", shall we say? Ainz (Mentally): It's true, ever since I ended up in this body, I haven't felt a sense of affinity for the human race. No matter how many we kill, it hasn't pained my heart, so long as it benefited Nazarick. Still, even so... Ainz (Out-Loud): Demiurge, see that those who do not dishonor the Great Tomb of Nazarick, nor myself, are given deaths that are without pain and suffering. While he acknowledges the captured humans as valuable to Nazarick, he still tries to offer them some sort of mercy. Cold comfort, I know, but still, er... better than nothing, I guess?

Guys, the Therteen Heroes where 200 years ago, fought and defeated the Demon King and some of them are still around, this was never detaily explained in the anime as it skips a shit ton of material. Also the Dark Young (the giant monsters Ainz summoned) were level 95 so they are actually incredibly strong, even a level 100 NPC like the Guardians would need a while to finish them, and not all the Guardians could. Demiurge for example would not be able as he doesnt speacialize in combat.

*Harm Ainz* Good catch on the sword. It can deal damage to Ainz, but 20 damage means nothing when you have 1k hp. It never actually says the values, but Ainz took so many hits from Shalltear who was a lvl 100 and didn't need the sword, yet he didn't die... just being able to deal damage to Ainz means nothing. It is the most basic requirement in attempting to hurt Ainz. Still have a long way to go. Technically the sword bypasses Ainz's passive. His passive blocks all attack under lvl 60 (If I remember correctly). The sword just ignores it, so Brain would still only be damaging Ainz as a lvl 30.

Indeed, the breakdown of the endgame was to use Momon as a means to legitimize their rule. The people see him as a hero (since that is how Ainz built up Momon's persona). And since he has sworn fealty, the people will follow Momon's lead so as to not cause him any problems. In the source material, Momon even tells the people that the kid might have been mind controlled by magic to throw that rock, possibly by the Slaine Theocracy. So not only do the people not follow Momon in subservience, if there are any rebels, Momon will be made aware, and the people will start to mistrust the Slaine Theocracy. It's a brilliant strategic move; any bad things that might happen from then on could be blamed on another nation's meddling if need be.

dunno if ya guys ever gonna see this but since you were so passionate about this just wanted to let you know a few things which will be very interesting for you guys. Did you guys know that pretty much every goblin summoned by Enri in carne village was at the lowest on par powerwise with Gazeff Stronoff as Gazef is level 35-40 while the goblins are 40+ with the 13 redcaps being around level 60. That literally makes Carne village and its goblin army the most powerful army in the world only second Ainz forces. Carne Village and its 5000 soldiers could literally destroy both the kingdom and the empire without breaking a sweat due to how powerful the goblin armor summoned actually was.

I know this is old by now and I'm not sure if you guys see it later in the video but it's called player vs player because that's how much Ainz has respect for Gazef. Same reason why he want's Gazef with him. He likes him. Just like Cocytus appreciates the lizardmen for the warriors they are, Ainz feels the same way about Gazef and doesn't want to see him go. Really enjoyed watching all this with the two of you. It's been great seeing it all through to the end for now

Someone has probably already commented the splatsplatsplat scene... but I just wanna share /another/ excerpt from the LN, as Nimble and the Imperial Army watched the slaughter: ~ He had no idea where he was. It was like he had been hurled into a nightmare. The title of the Four Knights -the title belonging to the mightiest warriors of the Baharuth Empire- now seemed so shockingly superficial. How pathetic a creature was he, to be so proud of such an insignificant little thing? That was how great of a shock he had received. Nimble could hear the sound of subdued weeping. It was the sobbing of people who had been pushed past their limits by fear and unease. It was a childish - no, it was the agonized wailing of men who had been reduced to children. The ones who wept were the Imperial knights. He heard people beg “just run away.” That was the prayer of the knights who had - with eyes full of pity - watched that hideous carnage swallow up their fellow human beings. So wretched was this tragedy that even the enemies of the Royal Army, the Imperial knights, offered up prayers for them. They prayed that at least some would survive. The more, the better. They had come here to kill the enemy. However, no human being could remain unmoved and not feel pity when they witnessed the massacre taking place in front of them. Anyone who could remain unmoved would be a fiend with a man’s face, an inhuman being. What a great review and you both got the details that were missed by the anime but included in the books. In regards to wether Ainz will somehow lose, it's still implausible by how the story continues from this. Ainz's foundation as a paranoid strategist is true till the end. Infact he has more escape protocols than his offensive tactics. He doesn't care about lowering his pride to gain an advantage and he has the resources to retry if his escape is successful. He also operates under the "one life" assumption, therefore resurrection of his life is still possible.

I have this theory in the works that Satoru Suzuki, the human who was playing as Momonga never actually travelled to another world. In the books it's revealed in more detail that he's from a dystopian future Earth where you can't even go out without a rebreather due to pollution. He works 12-14 hours every day and the only other thing he does is play that game, spending his entire salary on it. So my idea is that when the game was shut down his brain was fried instantly, he died and everything afterwards is his personal heaven: -The only thing that ever brought him joy is the game, so it's rules are largely maintained and he gets to be his character. What else is he gonna do in paradise when he's just the sum of his human experiences? -every female NPC is a 10 and either loves him, romantically or platonically -every male admires him -with anything he does success just seems to fall into his lap, with just the right amount of adversity that he has the illusion that something is on the line, keeping things interesting -he's freed from any emotions in his undead form -he has a huge family in the denizens of Nazarick that he truly cares about -he is utterly unaffected by the struggles of the denizens of this world, yet gets to decide their fate So for the kind of person he was in his human life - alone, dejected, focused only on the game, poor, overworked, unappreciated, downtrodden - this entire setting is literally paradise, including all the bad stuff.

@@jonathanjohnson6727 This can be pretty much waved by saying that anything that doesn't immediately gel with the theory is there to make his transition into the afterlife easier, or even unnoticed. If he realizes that he died the idea of the whole thing, of giving him a quest to find other players while making him feel exceptional would no longer work. As I mentioned before, there's a Twilight Zone episode called "A nice place to visit" where a robber gets shot by police and wakes up in the afterlife. I recommend you look it up here on KZbin, but if you don't mind spoilers, feel free to read on: There, he's granted his every wish. If he gambles he always wins unless he wishes to lose. Every undertaking is guaranteed to succeed, unless he wishes it to fail. Eventually he grows bored because there's no challenge, no excitement, nothing to make his life there meaningful, so be becomes increasingly miserable. Eventually he asks to be sent to hell instead, only to be informed that he's already there and this is his punishment. So just the knowledge that you're in the afterlife and that everything you do will ultimately succeed can make the difference between heaven and hell.

I just found you guys, i'm currently on day 2 of binging your reactions, and I'd LOVE you guys to react to the dub. I personally dont like most dubs. There are less than 15 anime that I can watch Dubbed out of the 400ish that i've watched. I understand they can be good, but I watched a few minutes of episode 1, and was disgusted by the pronunciation of words, mainly out of habit from subs. There's no shame in doing things for the fans, and watching things you like. I'd watch your reactions of the dubs, more likely than i'll ever watch the dubs of one of my top 10 favorite shows.

Seeing peoples reactions to the Overlord anime being nothing less than spectacular really saddens me when I think about how bad the the anime adaption was for it, and many Overlord anime only fans won't truly experience all the magic the light novel series has to offer, since Overlord is love by many light novel fans for these primary reasons: 1)Main villain as a protagonist - Unlike most isekai shows where the main character is morally good for the most part, Ainz is UNDOUBTEDLY a villain, since one of his goals is to try to dominate this new world. For instance, in Season 1 when Ainz was prepared to murder Niferea in when his identity as Momon was almost found out. Another example, is the UNPROVOKED attack on the lizard men led by Ainz in season 2 that cost countless lives for their species, and it was all done for experimentation for Ainz, it's also worth keeping in mind that the ONLY reason that Ainz decided to show mercy to the Lizardmen was due to Coctyus's request, which led to the situation we are in now where the Lizardmen aren't following Ainz now out of love, but fear, since they know first hand what he and his army of Nazarick are capable of, and we see more of that fear being shown from them in the later volumes. Next, is the attack on Re Estize kingdom led by Demiruge, which again, similar to the Lizardman was an UNPROVOKED attack led by Ainz crew that caused the death of not only countless soldiers of the kingdom, but men AND children as well. Heck, Demiurge kidnaps women and FORCES them to cross breed with other species for experimentation, which is essentially rape, and Ainz will NEVER actively punish him for it, since in the Light Novel he's stated time and time again that the denizens of Nazarick will ALWAYS have more value then the people of this new world. So here we have protagonist that's caused genocide for his own SELFISH reasons, and will CONTINUE TO DO SO in future arcs, and has subordinates that aren't above doing more bad things, such as rape ( Demiurge, and Shalltear fall into this rape category, though over 90% of the denizens of Nazarick are evil beings that enjoy the suffering of humans, just don't rape them with a few exceptions like Sebas who is morally good) so all this effectively makes Ainz a dictator on the same level as Hitler. However, what seperates Ainz from MANY other villains in fiction is that he isn't one dimensional as we see the man show compassion for those around him, even if it's primarily reserve with those in Nazarick, and he also has flaws in the fact that he struggles to be a competant leader for them, Making him a complex villain, up there with Griffith. It's a change of pace to what I usually see and it's glorious. 2) Foreshadowing- Many of the major events are set up in earlier parts of the story like how Ninya's death at the hands of Clementine played a role in Ainz rare act of compassion to someone outside of Nazarick in sparing Tuare is a great example of this. And there were many foreshadowing threads in season 3 season that will play a MAJOR role in future arcs, Seriously, I'll never forget reading the predictions people made in earlier volumes, with MANY of them being spot on in the more recent volumes due to all the seeds the author planted in those earlier volumes, which is great story telling. 3) world building- I could write an essay on how much world building was axed from the anime, and I don't know where to start so I won't bother lol. Personally I feel the anime fails at most of this since ALOT of the character moments are either brushed over or are outright glossed over, and that's in addition to skipping MANY of the world building elements. You KNOW it's bad when whenever there's a reaction video of Overlord on youtube, you have people in the comments of said videos writing LITERAL paragraphs explaining what was skipped on EACH episode, not as a whole season, and episode per video. It's bad. Then there's the animation itself, which there isn't much to speak of, and that's not even mentioning the god awful CGI. Overall, a terrible adaption, which is a shame because the light novels are so good, and REALLY dark in terms of tone, for instance, like going into more detail about Demiurge's breeding experiments ( many of the denizens of Nazarick are aware of this by the way, they just don't care that he's doing it, since they consider humans to be inferior to them), and Shalltear's weird and horrifying sexual fantasies ( she enjoys sexually assaulting women), or Ainz lack of sympathy for humanity as a whole, and how that's explored when he commits genocide. And the books go into far more detail on all of this. It's to the point that I feel that anime fans, and light novel fans are getting entirely different experiences.

Humans basically have a max level in this world. Easily surpassed by certain non human races. Shalltear said herself that between Brain and his men she couldn't see a difference in strength. And Brain by far eclipses most non-magic oriented humans in that world. That sword likely only has enchantments that barely bypass Ainz passive nullifications. Congratulations, you're capable of "possibly" doing one hit point of damage to someone with 10,000 hp (throwing a number out there) thats never caught unaware, and can kill you in one hit. Neither Brain or Climb will ever reach a level to do anything noticeable in a fight with Ainz or the floor guardians.
