As the great tech guy said They really do have ground to stand on when it comes to the controller johns. Never unplug a controller and plug a new one into an adapter for netplay while the emulator is running. Its not like a gamecube or wii where unplugging it rezeros the controller every time you plug it in. Only starting the emulation does that.

Put the buffer up to 5-6 minimum. Below that its actually faster than crt and fucks up your timing

it is. People try to seem smart and call out statements like this but if you play below a 5 buffer on FM 4.4 it would technically run faster than a wii on a CRT. A gamecube has lag. about 4.5 frames of it and so the new build had 3 frames. If you didn't add enough buffer you would be going faster than a Wii on a crt. Now if you would see any benefits from that completely depends on your monitor.

A gamecube isn't going to have 4.5 FRAMES of lag, that would be approximately 75ms and at that point you can really feel it in a game like melee. A gamecube + CRT combo does indeed have a tiny bit of lag, people have measured it, but it's nowhere near the realm of 4.5 frames. If you were to say 4.5 ms, that would be believable, but that's pretty negligible and wouldn't really be noticed since one frame is 16.66 ms.

I like reading comments on these shows. I'm not a massive melee head but I'm enjoying this series and have watched 100% more stuff on melee since. People complaining about Toph in these comments make me not want to be anywhere near this scene man, ya'll are cold to this dude. I don't know his history or whatever but let him do his thing and be shit at melee if he's shit at melee. I get it's your scene he's representing but if you were up there with Scar and Mango (which is probably why you all sound incredibly jealous) you'd probably wanna work out the kinks and learn how you represent yourself on the show.
