It's when the hunt and hounds follow a trail. A runner is sent off on a pre determined route trailing a cloth that has been soaked in a human made scent that the hounds are trained to sniff out 😊 x
@emqui62263 жыл бұрын
@@Equinologee you forgot to mention that fact real fox scents are trailed and sometimes your hounda go off course and start mauling the foxes, but off course people like your self will always get away with what ever ya want calling it a drag hunt is the biggest joke out. there is no need for hunting why not just go on a big group ride to make your selves better
@kristin1980uk3 жыл бұрын
@@emqui6226 Totally irrelevant on this video though. This is bloodhounding and not fox/drag hunting. Bloodhounding has never been fox hunting. Just look at the hounds, they are not fox hounds. Bloodhounding is 100% kill free as bloodhounds only track humans, like a human tracker dog. There is no scent laid, but just a human runner will run a few miles just before the hounds. There is no kill at the end, only the bloodhounds waggy tailed when they see the runner at the end. They track to find, never kill. You are confusing it with what was fox hunting, which is now illegal and is now referred to quite often as drag hunting. They still use fox hounds which now follows a fox urine scent laid by a runner, but should a fox cross the path, the foxhounds can go off the urine trail and follow a live fox. In future just look at the hounds: Foxhounds = foxhunting/drag hunting. Bloodhounds = human hunting/tracking 100% kill free.

Can someone please explain to me the difference between this and fox hunting (which I completely do not support) or other hunting I don’t understand the different hunting’s..
@heroineofdarkness8439 Жыл бұрын
If you’re still interested here’s an answer. Fox hunting usually covers any animals hunting including deer, wild boars or coyotes. This hunting is illegal in the uk but is allowed in places like Ireland, France and America. Trail hunting is an alternative to fox hunting by a human using animal urine to lay the route, only the field master and whip ins should know the route so they will control the hound from going off route. Drag hunting uses bloodhounds instead of fox hounds. Bloodhounds are used to track humans or an artificial scent. This avoids an possible accidents of the dogs going off course after an animal but again the field master should know the route. I hope this helps
