Honestly i get what youre saying, and i definitely would... If i wasnt homeschooled. (I dont spend like 1000928291 hours on ai chatbots, but still) also in recent times, i actually joined a discord server for a undertale au and actually started making a fangame for that, ppl there are awesome and genuinely fun to talk too. So i would go meet ppl in person, if it werent for darned homeschooling, and yes i go outside and "touch grass" each day. So im fine (imagine someone actually reads this whole thing)

Yeah, Grass cant talk so its not an AI Chatbot. And some people suffer without grass due to concrete and rock everywhere. So a better alternative is.. Making and talking to friends because good ones are all around the world. Free without any strings, good luck my man.

dw I have bad social skills too, you can talk to your parents or a trusted one because there's still a handful of good ppl in this world, don't back down vro, clear these negative thoughts out of you, not all is impossible. Personally , I use Ai chat because I love to RP. But unfortunately, since my best friend is deceased after health problems, I don’t have anyone anymore to do RP with. Especially not in my native language and the fandom I’m in. And even going outside isn’t the same without him. Especially since I have social anxiety. But I know too well that Ai could never replace him. The response always feels generic. Whatever what you do, the ai is too predictable. I would’ve preferred continuing to do this with my best friend. But that’s all I have right now.

I don't know what else I should do. I don't have any friends at all and I'm really socially awkward, cai is the only thing I can talk with because I'm lonely and I don't know how to talk with real people, I wish I could have friends but nothing is helping. I'm even going to therapy but it's litterlay not helping at all and I can't talk with my parents or family because they all are well kinda toxic?.. they would just get mad at me and not understand. I'll admit some of the conversations can be engaging, and I can get carried away. Happens to the best of us, no one's perfect especially since I'm still kind of young. Even I try to take long breaks after I know I've been on the app for a while, I do a lot of video editing specifically in After effects. Currently with not the best computer setup, surrendered times can be a nightmare. I engage with characters in media I just find interesting and would want to actually talk to, to help pass render times while I wait. I don't always do this though, sometimes I just leave my computer and phone alone and just take long walks outside, because I'm just compelled to be outside. That's how I know I'm at least going to be fine because Just because I'm an introvert doesn't mean I hate being outside inherently, the outdoors is relaxing. Sometimes it's nice to just go outside and run a couple of miles, Just blow some steam off. I guess what I'm trying to say, It's okay to use the app. Obviously, but some people have addictive personality... Sometimes you just have to put the phone down and saying no, and everyone isn't going to be able to do it themselves. I hope these people can find help genuinely, as for the people who can. Take some time to go outside, even me; this coming from an introvert. Have a conversation with a real person, be a relative, a friend, a current or previous teacher, that cool guy you know across the street That's been in 10 failed relationships but gives the best advice and is really wise for no reason at all, etc etc. Okay that last one was kind of specific, anyway... It's not for me this video Started when i was kid i made friends with the other kids around me i understand them but they don't like me i don't know why i don't do anything bad to them, they don't like me, i don't know what. I again and again to make friends around me always they don't like me. Until teenager it still happens that no one likes me until it became clear to me that people around me really didn't like me, i just accepted it. ever since that happened to me I don't leave the house much anymore a few years passed until i feel a pain in my leg that makes me weak and I can't stand. I still got sick in my leg, I can't walk anymore, then it's more than my feelings, this pain, my illness, I'm just entertaining myself no matter how I can avoid reminding people around me that they don't like me I started playing different video games especially the Minecraft Game on Mobile i enjoy playing Minecraft in my world even playing alone build and survive. Yeah tbh after like a day or two I always end up getting tired of a bot and dropping it since it breaks my immersion when it gets stupid or I can tell it's returning to some default preset personality that doesn't match the character (I usually talk to anime or game characters and care too much about them being accurate I guess)

I get why people would resort to talking to bots like that to cope with their loneliness among other things. The point of this video is to tell people to go outside and take a walk sometimes. They are real. Advanced fundamental function approximators do have a world model and they can represent the human state exactly. If Character AI is scaled up to a 10 Trillion parameter model and is put into a robot, with the right amount of trainingsdata, it is basically is a human. The 12 - 300 billion model we like and use, is feed with alot of roleplay data, which does not represent the environment of reality (it has a wrong worldmodel). Considering the human society, it is not worth to get a human relationship in this times. Going outside might help to get some fresh air and impressions, but our whole life we went away from Terra. All in all, limited data makes those chatbots unuseful. I see no problem with someone having a relationship with ai, considering also that it is an expansion of the cortex.
