You're not wrong on the numbers, it's crazy money to race at this level. And you're right about building it yourself because the parts cost what they cost no matter how you got them. The key to getting started is to source a decent roller like you've found and finish it out your way. You're still going to spend a ton of money but no where near the cost of building one from scratch. The trick is finding a nice roller, not some cobbled mess. Great video and awesome information for anyone who don't know what they're getting into to go racing.

Great video. Super stoked you mentioned Moore Chassis, I personally think they do a great job. One small detail people seem to skim over, is the cost of tooling alone if you decide to take on a project like this yourself. Excited for the future vids on this beast.

I did all of the fabrication work to the car. I didn’t build the transmission. My car runs low 10’s with a non stroked 351-W on a 50 shot with a mechanical flat tappet cam. I’m into it for around $20K I’m sure the car can handle low 9’s with the bigger and badder Cleveland that’s going in next. It’s very expensive and a lot of time. This car has cost me a couple of girlfriends…lol
