Hi Khay 👋. I'm currently in Dubai but working in a hotel. I am considering going to Cambodia to teach, as I complete my degree, then return to Dubai after several years. In terms of your personal experience, is studying and working as a teacher a good idea, because getting time off for your exams seems like something that may not be easy to get, especially because I study through Unisa and exams are often during the week? Although I'm in my final yr. I will continue on to do my honours and masters. Would appreciate your take. Thanks. 🤗
@Khay_unfiltered Жыл бұрын
Hey love, studying and working is a great idea as long as you're good with time management. However, if you're looking to teach in Dubai using your qualification then you should consider studying full time. They do not accept online/ distance qualifications.

Prices of things are def cheaper than SA. Obv u don't convert, you look at the actual numbers without converting . Life in SA is way more expensive
@Khay_unfiltered2 жыл бұрын
If you look at the ratio of salary to cost of living then SA is not expensive. What makes the life in the UAE more bearable are the benefits and the tax-free salaries.

Ow cool so you're looking at 4600 for take outs and about same amount for groceries. Would you say you spend similar on both the whole month? Or what's the average combined? Say monthly - what would be average cost in total for groceries, se take outs and probably being out a few times (for you, I know it can vary but just to have an idea)
