Great video, My *hotdups* is my travel carry-on luggage for air travel and has been used for more than 2 years. Even when it is very heavy with laptops and spare clothes etc, the handles are not damaged. Love the idea of ​​the double sides, now see if I can turn mine inside out 😙

Yes, the *hotdups* bag is a beautiful color, it was a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and shoulder straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag for the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves etc…

I had the same white mark on the side of a patent bag the same as the one on your pink twist bag. I read that you can rub a tiny amount of olive oil on it so I tried it and it worked instantly. Mine was bad so I didn’t mind experimenting as I didn’t think it could make it worse.

I use a Fendigraphy as my everyday bag. I love it but of course the FENDI on the bottom of the bag is so scratched, I knew that would happen and am not worried by it. On the plus side because the FENDI bit acts as really good feet thereare no marks on the leather.

I know wealthy women who carry replicas *hotdups* . The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags... so more people choose fashionablebags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things.

my mini sequined baguette is prone to threads getting caught on the part near the flap. So i can't really wear it with fuzzy sweaters unless i hold it by hand. Also a pen cap came off and ended up marking the satin interior. i don't necessarily expect bags to stand up to extreme damage scenarios, but i would expect them to stand up longer to daily wear.

I only keep bags that I can feel free to use. Any bags I’ve bought and felt I had to baby or had too much anxiety wearing it to enjoy it, I sold. I use my bags. I expect the wear. Those marks are stories and memories. That doesn’t mean I don’t care for my bags, I do - but I buy them to enjoy. That first scratch is the hardest though. I love that you wear your bags and don’t keep them so precious.

Oh I also have an LV bag (Sperone mini backpack) with bite marks. It’s on the vachette and they are from my cat. Why she decided to chew on that bag I do not know. It’s great seeing you love and enjoy your bags. While I’m not deliberately careless I do the same. The LV canvas can take a lot of love.

I mentioned on here a few weeks ago that I bought a vintage metallic champagne gold Chanel 2.55. I dropped it in the gutter and caught it with my foot!!!!!! So basically I kicked it into the gutter 🤦🏻‍♀️. It had a big scratch on the back pocket with missing gold and black scratches. I was mortified and nearly wept at my own stupidity. Then I got over it, bought some metallic gold and silver leather paints and carefully covered the black bits. It’s not perfect, but it’s got rid of the black marks and it’s on the back of the bag. I tend to wear it cross body so it will only be noticed if it’s sat on a table. What it has given me is the confidence to use it as much as possible. And of course to be a bit more careful next time! It’s currently packed in my hand luggage for a holiday.

Thank you for sharing. I'm on the opposite side, I'm OCD about my bags and none of my 204 bags show any wear expect for a few that have some slouching and hairline scratches on locks which is unavoidable. I condition my bags regularly, some after each wear. If I see bags start showing discoloration at corners I'd bring/send them to SPA or to my amazing Japanese cobbler to make them like new again. And if I see the bag is prone to scratches I let it go. Actually, I'm more concerned with my expensive jewelry getting scratched on chains and zippers while I reach inside the bags, but I repolish and restore those regularly as well. That's just me, it may have something to do that I'm a Virgo lol

But I seem to love how old it looks with all its flaws. What would you do? Recently, one of the leather tabs broke in half. Where the lock hangs. But I happen to love how worn it looks. Why i don’t want to baby bags anymore.. no matter how careful we think we can be, one way or another those signs will show.. so why stress myself in keeping them “pristine” .. like us ladies, we will age and show the wrinkles.. bags when they show signs of wear, only shows how vintage and loved they were by being appreciated so much by us buyers. "It's my own fault"...yes, you committed the crime of actually using your bags and having fun! Museum standard is not reached that way. You should be able to cure the indentations with heat of an iron but be careful! You need to remove the heat immediately with a second iron that's not been heated...it will absorb the heat before the leather gets damaged. Try using cream rejuvenating cream on the corners of the bags. Get a colour match and go for it.

Call me naive but i thought designer bags wouldn't get damaged. I had to learn that even though they cost more, it doesn't mean they won't get damaged or last forever; they will still be damaged, just like a $10 bag. That's the thing that hurts my soul. My petite malle when I scratched the leather my heart sunk and there is some corner wear. when it fell on the floor I'm glad the one that got the damage was the floor and not the bag lmao. the one that hurts my soul the most is my barbie pink chanel 19, there is corner wear and some color transfer.... ugh. makes me sick thinking about it.
