WESMAN381381 to think that random guy with a fast Supra is now responsible for Craig getting his Supra, then the Supra being in the movie, then the car becoming famous along with Paul and eventually marking it up way too much money. Like it’s weird to think how much happened because of this random guy that raced Craig 😂

I live in the Netherlands, the "hero" car is indeed here and has not been changed. Still the same owner, he also got cars from the other movies aswell. a guy i met a couple of years ago actually details these cars and makes sure they look like new. He is proud of his job! Your best bet to see it in person is the 100%tuning/100% auto live car show in the Ahoy Rotterdam in Oktober. They are put on display there from time to time.

I know it's not an academy award winner, but I think the ending to The Fast and the Furious is one of the best even in cinema. How he chooses to be good on his word and his good character than that blindly being loyal to his job, and he gives the keys to Dom paying off his debt of a 10-second car. But even though Dom is now in possession of the car, it's really not the car that is paying off his debt, it's the fact he's letting him get away by giving him the car. Great writing. Very satisfying ending, and one of the best in movie history. And I'm a movie buff. Great ending.

Honestly so refreshing to hear someone openly speaking actual facts instead of the hype that most people do when talking about subjects like this! As for myself growing up around cars and being a mechanic and mechanical engineer building drag cars, race boats and full on show cars know what’s involved and especially lending vehicles to production companies or promotional businesses, so understood when Craig was mentioning particular things about replacement parts and general owning a popular known vehicle? However for myself the video was very interesting as too how hard it was for these guys to build and maintain all this vehicles just for the movies and as I’ve already mentioned, which is Craig’s easygoing manner explaining everything about it to us. Congratulations Craig and well done as so good listening to someone down to earth, rather than the hype and rubbish that they go on with and haven’t a clue. Thanks for sharing your experience with us all👍🏼

This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Thank you Craig for this! I was 18 when the first film came out in 2001 and was just learning to drive, I went to see this with some friends and I remember being in a trance the rest of the day and I kept wondering “what was that orange car” in the movie. I’ve wanted a Supra since but could only afford an Eclipse at the time. I worked my way up to a 94 FD RX-7 Montego blue and finally 4 years ago I bought my 97 anniversary edition turbo Supra. It has been life changing and my uncle who just retired has been begging me to sell him the Supra so I’m considering it and maybe get a GTR or Lexus LC500 we will see. I just wanted to say keep up these great videos with a plethora of information.

After seeing this movie when I was a teenager, your input and everyone else's in the movie changed my life forever. I fell in love with imports. I love your Supra and the Charger, but the car that caught my heart first while in the theatre was the RX-7. Then in 2003 the Evo came to the US and it became my favorite import and dream car. Finally my dream came true, and after my deployment I ordered and bought a brand new 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR, in the best Evo color Graphite Gray Pearl. It's always a blast to hear the real story about anything. During the filming of Fast Five I had the opportunity to see the black Dodge Chargers used in real life. To me it was surreal. While having some drinks a local bar, a guy claimed to be part of the production and we asked him lots of questions. We of course asked him about your car and it matches a lot with yours. We were pretty hammered so I never took what he said too seriously. After watching this video, some of the thinks he said match. I guess he really was who he said.

Excellent behind the scenes look. So true what you say about owning a movie car or any other "special car". My grandfather owned numerous former racing cars, including 1519GT - a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Interim Berlinetta LWB (one of seven alloy factory competition Berlinettas), and most recently 15273- a 1972 NART Ferrari 365 GTB/4- with 12,600 miles. Growing up my friends would always say "If I had that car I would be driving it... it's just sitting in the garage". People don't understand that the roads are filled with idiots looking to "race" and everyone with a greasy hand wants to touch; not to mention the cost of insurance! They're not the ones who are paying $7-10k, or even more, to repair damage caused by some careless jackass with a shopping cart! You will always have a special place in automotive history. For true car folks thats enough!

Craig, you've owned cars that people these days can only dream of. *you're a literal legend, because you also worked on some of the most iconic movies of the early 2000s, which helped make me appreciate all kinds of cars instead of just classic muscle cars*

Your Mk.IV Supra was way better looking in yellow, with your more tasteful body mods, than it looked in the movie with Universal's strange choice in wheels and that bizarre and tacky "nuclear gladiator" decal on the side. Great video, keep up the fantastic work! This was such an interesting watch. :)

I own a mark 3 supra non-turbo. Bought it off a guy little over a year ago for $1,200. It was in the middle of a head gasket replacement. A lot of things of kinda gotten in the way; however, I believe I should have it up and running in about a month. Lack of confidence, help, and other things prevented me from it being done. Work and money especially, been in a bit of a pit lately. Going to a local tech center for automotive service technology, with the car as a school project. Having trouble really learning, and the instructor is an arse occasionally. Trying to stick with it to the end, looking to eventually work as a tech for Toyota. I really wanted to go into the automotive industry, but I'm second guessing myself sometimes. Excuse the rant, lot going, really enjoyed the video 10/10

I am very thankful for the guy that gapped you racing the mustang. He was really the influence behind it all. Pretty wild to think the impact that person made on car culture just because he beat you. That day changed your life and the rest of the worlds. The funny part is that dude probably has no idea the impact he made 😂 Keep up the great work Craig. I love all of your videos.

That's a very good observation! If only there were some way to find out who that was. Man, what an unlikely thing that caused all this. Although I'm sure Craig would have discovered the Supra's potential sooner or later anyhow...

Wow this is absolutely incredible! I live in Australia and I was 14 at the cinemas watching Fast and Furious with my dad. The fast and furious franchise has gone to crap. The first two movies are the best as it's about cars, not action crap. I am 33 years old now and I now own a aero top 2gzgte 94 supra, a supercharged 2008 Ls3 HSV Maloo and a 2013 HSV GTS with a worked LSA enhine. I used to own a gtst 33 skyline with a r34 front end. And a holden wagon with a rb20 motor from a r32gtst..I wish I didn't sell either of these cars and now I don't sell cars at all hahaha. I really like this extendive video made, really well done and explains alot. Good work brother. P.s. I can tell you regret selling it..but so would everyone else in your position, you are not alone.

This guys right about one thing, most people have no idea how much work, time & money it takes to not only purchase & build a nice car but then to maintain a true race or show car. I wish I had $20 for every hour I’ve spent polishing aluminum, chrome, stainless steel or just working on my cars over the last 4 decades, I could buy a nice 2nd home in the Florida Keys. I’m down to one car now except my daily Jeep, my purpose built street legal 03 cobra on a 200 shot of spray and even tho it’s super clean, it’s not a show car, it’s a GO car with 845hp & a 6spd. I make sure I drive it a few times a week and have fun with this car instead of letting it become a full time job that you’re afraid to even drive on the street.

At 12:00 I agree on what he said that one day a drunk driver may hit your car and what are you going to do when you can’t replace discontinued parts. Reminds me of my show car I had my ae86 panda with jdm bumpers and everything and almost a year ago got into an accident and now I can’t replace that car because parts are hard to come by but I can say I made memories with my car and had fun while it lasted

Nowadays with laser scanners and 3D printing you can easily reproduce this Supra down to the serial numbers and inconsistencies in the molds that were used to make these parts. It can be done with enough time and effort.
