I just ordered my t30 today, . I ordered the same one as you have with the led lights in the middle . , .. I haven't seen any videos of the t30 middle LED lights on . are you able to post a video and show us the red and blue lights in the middle . Thanks pero

We need a test with a combination of hovering and flying. Depending on aircraft speed, wind, etc, it can consume more battery to hover than to fly.

I did hovering as it’s a much more consistent test method if ever we want to recreate the results or test other lights. Hovering is less efficient naturally(even per DJI’s flight time ratings) since the props are opposing each other. Additionally, even on a calm day, it’s hard to have no wind at 100-300 ft altitude and that would further skew the results and not allow for repeatability. I also didn’t do light-on testing as that will vary greatly from flight to flight. This was purely based on the effect of the payload mass. I will consider a test method that incorporates all of the above, really need more lights to test with lol.

Great video! But question, why someone needs the light?

For night time operations, you can identify a target of interest with the thermal but the spotlight is required for positive visual confirmation.

I need to do some more night flying and make a video. Thus far I think it’s adequate for positive identification of a dead or wounded buck or missing person in a search and rescue. I’ve compared it at the same altitudes that Mike at drone deer recovery is using(m30T with the czi lp12) in his videos.
