I spoke to voice actor and director Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn some years back about the PS2 Bebop title. Apparently all of the voice acting was completed by the show's original cast and the recordings were submitted to the developer who was wrapping up work on the localization process. The next thing she heard was that the game's US release had been cancelled. Mary doesn't know anything beyond this. I was interning for PSM at the time and had heard whispers at the office that the game failed a quality test of some kind. There wasn't money in the production budget to go in and rework whatever was wrong with the game, so the publisher pulled the plug. A fun PS to the story: Mary apparently still has backups of all the audio, but can't release them in any capacity for legal reasons.

I also love that show. If I could have Harvey Birdman as my defense lawyer, I would, but ONLY if Phoenix Wright, or his apprentice Apollo Justice,was busy. You have good taste though, dude. That's a cool looking car. The kind of car you'd see rappers rapping about. I'd love to be able to own a car like that too. Too bad I can't drive because of my stupid epilepsy. But, it'd be nice to own to look back at one of CN/Adult Swim's best shows. With one of the saddest endings... I'd also have loved to have owned Samurai Jack's katana too, or just to even own an autograph from the voice actor of Jack, Phil Lamarr, that dude has one of the BEST voices I've ever heard. He's also one of the BEST actors/comedians ever too. He's been in pretty much EVERYTHING. From Madtv, to Futurama, to playing Jon Stewart's Green Lantern in the Justice League cartoon, and I think in the Injustice games, though I could be wrong. I also would've loved to have my very own version of the KND Treehouse. It would've been great, a way to remember not only one of the best shows ever, but one of my favorite shows, and one of, if not THE BEST Cartoon Cartoon ever. To actually live a dream of being a member of the KND, and live in a replica of the Treehouse from the show... even as an adult, I still remember wanting to live in that Treehouse. Maybe one day I'll own enough money to be able to recreate that magical KND Treehouse... and if I ever have kids someday, I'd give them that house, as a gift. Or at least a picture of it, if it looked too dangerous to live in. Either way, it sounds nice, doesn't it?

A ghost baby, that fight with King Boo at the end of the game, the music making the atmosphere rightfully creepy. It subverted my expectations when I first played it so many years ago on the Nintendo purple lunchbox's brother, the Wii. I never played it on the og purple box. But I did have the guidebook for it. Plus, Luigi DIDN'T even enter the contest in the first place! It was a setup by the ghosts to get revenge on the Mario Bros. And the Spencer Mansion wasn't even really a "mansion", it was a secret research lab, hidden to LOOK like a mansion and the architect who built it, George Trevor, and his wife and daughter were both kidnapped and "killed", well, his wife was, disposed of by Umbrella, after they injected her with a version of the Progenitor Virus, which didn't work. But, it worked on Lisa Trevor though. She didn't die, she just ripped the faces off of female researchers, believing they literally stole her mother's face. And George Trevor, he died inside the "mansion", near a tombstone with his own name on it, with the very last thing he did before dying was writing his final thoughts and words down, praying for the safety of his family, which of course, didn't happen. So, you still want to take the Spencer Mansion? Well, if you do, be sure to clear out the zombies first. And also, it was blown up at the end of RE. And be careful of the area around the Mansion, Raccoon Forest, which has zombie dogs. As good as the Spencer Mansion looks, there's way too many problems with it. Dead bodies, zombies, zombie dogs, Lisa Trevor, the Tyrant, zombie fleas, zombie spiders, a GIANT VENOMOUS SNAKE, named Yawn, and, MOTHERFUCKING ZOMBIE SHARKS!!!

Fun Fact: The photo of the kid on the KND Treehouse picture is the exact same kid who appears on a book I remember. I think it was called 'Stories for a New Millennium' and came out before 2000. It was a compilation of stories written by british authors (I'm from the UK) and the title cover had that kid along with another kid, but he was swapped and pasted on a illustrated background of Big Ben on New Year's.

Kind of think of the sweepstake replicas and designed rooms from Cartoon Network back in the day I guess they faded into obscurity and were called off to be sold since the executives at CN must've thought it was really ridiculous for some parent of a kid paying a million or some millionaire to purchase a Kids Next Door replica treehouse or a Dexter's Labratory themed room for their kid or maybe themselves and the mention of lacking a bathroom and the company being not responsible for a fire outbreak in the KND treehouse. You know if those stuff existed and were bought even if I was a millionaire I'd get the Ed, Edd 'n Eddy gumball machine.

I was obsessed with KND as a kid and I would have killed to get a giant treehouse like that. I can see why the house never sold though. Only some really rich celebrity could possibly afford that thing, but said rich person might not be willing to shell out thay much money for their kids, or their kid would not be interested in a giant gaudy fake treehouse. I'm curious about the other stuff though, I wonder if anyone ever bought the gumball machine.

Yeah sure. Now do keep in mind I was only 4 or 5 at the time because this was 1997/1998. But for an entire month Cartoon Network was running a dial-in sweepstakes to celebrate Dexter's Laboratory Ego Trip coming out, airing on tv, and being physically released. They also accepted some post cards detailing why they should pick you but the main focus is the phone numbers. If you dialed in at certain times of night when this commercial came on to a 800-XXX-XXXX number you could enter to win a copy of the movie from a pool of 500 or so winners, or go higher with cash prizes, Dexter toys, and more. The grand prize was one lucky kid would win a complete room renovation to go from "Drab to Lab" as they said. At minimum this included a new TV, computer, bed, video game system, and clothes. When there was about a week of the contest left or maybe when the next month started there was a second number to call, this time simply just 800, and you said your name, age, address, then exclaimed your favorite part of Ego Trip. That's unfortunately all I recall.

I have no way to prove it, but I swear to god that the local mega church in my area (in Northern Virginia shortly out of DC), had the Ed Edd n Eddy jawbreaker machine. That show was my jam so I thought the machine was coolest thing ever, but my parents wouldn’t let me use the internet yet so I never got invested in the wishlist or was able to see that the machine was part of it. Seeing it pop up in this video and reading comments wishing someone bought it is so surreal to me, that was in the church’s kids room and it was a jawbreaker machine not a gumball machine, cause it’s the only place I’ve ever had jawbreakers before. No idea what happened to the church or the machine, maybe they still have it laying around in a supply closet somewhere if they still exist; at least we can verify that at least one product actually got made. To be honest though I’m glad I wasn’t older back then cause I probably would’ve put myself in financial crisis just to buy the Harvey Birdman desk.

Actually all the voice actors did voice the video game, in the special features of the Cowboy Bebop blu ray, there's a thing called Dinner Aboard the Bebop which is basically just the voice actors sitting around eating and talking about cowboy bebop and then one of them brings up the video game and they're like oh yeah I remember voice acting I wonder what happened to that

ANIMATION HISTORIANS I NEED YOUR HELP: I am trying to find an animated movie made around 2008 where the main character, a teenage inventor, clones himself and his clone becomes more popular than him at school. I'm not sure about this part but I think there was a battle sequence near the end of the movie after the school's prom/dance and the clone and inventor fight in robot mech suits. Thanks for helping
