The alley going up the side of the supermarket doesn’t connect to the delivery area of the market. Your trucks will be using the main roundabout you wanted them to avoid. Also I think that invisible path you tried to draw in didn’t connect to the parking lot.
@stevieinselby16 күн бұрын
I think that alley was for the industrial units behind Morrimogs, not for the lorries heading into the delivery bays for the supermarket itself, the road from the main entrance was extended to cover that.
@SuperDave142614 күн бұрын
@@stevieinselby I thought he said, as he was making that adjustment, that he didn't want trucks going in by way of the front roundabout, but rather the alley road he placed that also went around the back. Hopefully he sees these comments and decides which way he actually wanted it. 😋

I honestly wish the internet assets in the game was more realistic, you're not going to have things as big as that in a UK city. You're probably just going to get a pole with a few cabinets that primarily serves a radius of 600m to a few miles, that's it.

I found out that cutting on budgets have massive effects on everything that generates money. When you raised the budgets on police and fire protection it seems you made lots more money then before. Low budgets has effects on productivity, energy production, transport and exports. So in the beginning of a new city it's okay, but you definitely need to keep an eye on it and raise the budgets in time or your city will get in financial troubles. Lovely video again😍😍

From the intro of the video, I understood that when there's no crossing marking, the peds run, but when there are crossings, they walk. So, having no markings, even though peds will still pass, they will take less time which means it still helps a bit with the traffic. Nice.

The trucks are still going to come in to the the store on the main road as their path enters at the right side of the store. The road to the back of the store would have been better entering to the left of the parking lot. When you were marking cemetery area, you may have unchecked Hobnob Heights.

Some cool things that I think would tie into the vibe of a UK countryside: - Having winding, narrow roads lined tightly with hedges or stone walls connecting villages or highways in certain points, just like you see in certain parts of the UK ("I know a shortcut."). That way you can have industrial farm zoning and avoid too much industrial sprawl/complexes forming. - Building "walking trails" between villages and through the fields or near the same roads between villages. - Having a manor/small castle building surrounded by a garden/park with the lore that the family who live there have opened up the grounds as a public area to help pay for the upkeep and council rates attached to their estate. So it's like a historical monument/tourist site and also brings in those UK elements of old family estates that struggle to afford the upkeep and turn to selling off parcels of land or other alternatives to bring in money.

Yen did explain it to the team early on (since I requested it in the first place) but I can't remember the exact whys and wherefores. Love the Morrisey's! But those long terraces... maybe a cross-lane at the least at the end of them? All the cul-de-sacs I remember from terraced rows were the really short stubs up against things like the football ground, or the car park for something big. Felt a wee pang of loss for those field boundary hedges and trees too... quite often preservation orders on the trees and the roads have to run alongside. But little things... love the build all the same!

Love the build and the street layout is so very British all over the place! Here's an idea - how about creating a proper city centre, perhaps inspired by some of UK's bigger cities, such as Nottingham, Birmingham or Bristol, etc? You know, with some squares, bigger buildings, etc? That would be fabulous! I mean perhaps for now there are not yet enough UK assets for the very urban city centre but at least an area might be saved for the future once (hopefully) some assets start popping up :)
