We have finally have the trailer for Sandalphon and some dates to look at for the upcoming character as well. This character looks very interesting so far with a gimmick that seem to allow him to alter his moveset. I can't wait to watch the gameplay guide before his release.

1:28 - It’s the ‘Fifth Primarch’, which is his Event Raid theme when he was a villain, but is also a remix which has his character song, ‘Ain Soph Aur,’ without vocals of course. 2:37 - When you make a character that’s a mix of Cloud Strife, Zack Fair, and the angels theme of FF7 Crisis Core, that’s bound to happen (also, the Cygames devs are former Square Enix devs, along others.) Sandy in Relink has an Install like Vergil and a heal ability, while here he’s a sorta stance character that is a mash up of his SSRs. 14:06 - Maybe? It could also represent his Style (Earth has World Ender/his Earth Grand weapon, Fire is Michael’s sword/Seraphic Weapon for Fire, Water is Gabriel’s Grand weapon, base form is what he usually uses, Wind isn’t shown but is probably Raphael related despite not using a sword at any point, and Light/SSBA is Sandy’s Light Grand weapon, Efes.) Another thing about Gabriel, is that her Seraphic weapon is a wand, so they used her Grand sword instead, so it could be skins, but it’s interesting to show weapon skins in the trailer if so (Raphael’s weapons are his body/arms and his rings, which counts as a bow somehow.) 16:16 - Grimnir was Raphael’s disciple, yes, which is funny since Raphael is stoic and serious for being a Primarch of Wind. The difference between Sandy and Lucilius’ Paradise Losts, is that Lucilius uses Lucifer’s body and can use it, while Sandy was bestowed Lucifer’s remaining power from his beheaded head (6 wings are Lucifer’s which are white, 2 are Sandy’s which are brown, and the remaining 4 are the elemental Primarch’s wings.) Since the final character is in early 2026, I could see it being the final Zodiac because it’s a big milestone that’s technically an endgame goal and the upcoming anniversary event is Zodiac focused (she’s going to be Horse and likely Fire, since Snake is Dark.) Edited - Slowed down the gameplay and Wind didn’t have a different sword, so it’s probably skins, but still not sure what skin would represent Raphael.

That dash move is actually from Relink. Kinda surprising since theres no indication that he does that in the first place Though, Im really hoping that he has a special SSBA win screen against Lucilius that recreate Triple Zero animation

@@bekomon I think Cygames has a list of what characters can and cant do, so they can keep characters consistent. Which I think they included in the character design books that they sell Theres only one time I can recall he "move fast" in the mobile game, even then, pretty sure he was flying in that moment His first version is a face tank DPS His second version is a support DPS His third version is a debuff support DPS His fourth version is a support healer His fifth version is a pure DPS Sandalphon has been in the game since 2017, and until his fifth version (which released last year) that he was "shown" to have that dash by including a Dodge All buff

So True, I need the roster of this game to be the same size as league of legends. They have a huge pool of characters from the mobile game, why stop?

Such a boring design... I suposse is the right choice for a mainstream favorite. Of course he is a shoto too... He's going to be a nightmare to play against. I hope the elemental stance changes make him more complex and interesting to play.

@@bekomon the game has very interesting examples, from Versusia to Cagliostro, or Vaseraga, Narmaya, Ferry and others. As long as he's not in the level of Beatrix or Kat I'll be fine.

I dunno, I think a character based on Zack, Cloud, and the angels theme from FF7 Crisis Core is pretty neat and he’s voiced by Zack’s JP VA, while Lucifer and Lucilius share Cloud’s JP VA. He is the most popular character for both men and women in all regions since his release in GBF years ago (the Vergil-isms probably help.) In GBF, Earth Grand steals the Tetra elements and uses them to buffs his damage (the stolen element is random and can dupe.) Purple is base, Fire seems to multi hit, Water is a slow moving mass of water, Earth is a ground wave, and Air seems normal, but gives an air dash and air grab (Light seems to be for some EX moves.) His Event SSR let him rotate his Super, depending if he has his seal from casting his first Super (Ain Soph Aur), which is why this Paradise Lost has Lucifer’s ghost embrace him before he uses it, like a father-son Kamehameha. Being a character with 4 stances with different specials per stance is pretty complex and there’s also his base form which was used at the start. His story is also pretty dark and is a saga, where he started as a villain.

@@cranesilentlyplays8084 I didn't know he was a villain before, that sound interesting indeed. I hope his stance changes are fun and require some brains, despite being a shoto. His character's design is still super bland and cliché for me, but I'll buy him for sure, I want to support Granblue Rising as long as possible.
