hey! you don't really get to choose... we only have two networks here... Globe and Smart. I suggest you get a Dual SIM phone, and get both...(or have two smart phones) some areas have stronger Globe networks than Smart, and vice versa... if you go PrePaid, Globe have better deals... good luck and I hope you'll have a fantastic time here....

Ferry vote from guadalupe ferry station - escolta ferry station is now operational haley 50 pesos for only 30 mins. Its the easiest alternative going to downtown manila and binondo.

Next time, try taking the boat to Quiapo. But choose the time when the Pasig river is flowing westward. The closest terminal is at Guadalupe. Yes, there are times when the Pasig flows eastward when it's high tide in Manila bay, and the water level is low in Laguna de Bay (e.g. droughts). Also, for the food trip, try the xiao long pao, kuchai dumpling, and Chinese pancakes at Dong Bei.
