Very informative vlog and thank you for visiting afghan cemetery . I didn't know that Marree had afghan migrants. They were my ancestors. I am going to simpson desert in June and will definitely be going to Marree on the way.

It's bitumen from Leigh Creek to Marree now. Did it in a Hybrid Camry, was 44 degrees outside, sat on 111klm/h getting 4.4l/100klm with A/C set on 17 degrees. Surreal drive.

I found at Bunnings picture hanging hooks 20kg. 6mm bungee. Put it through the hook tied and bent. Screwed it to the bottom frame of pop top. There was a screw there so used to that but adding a new screw would be ok. Then put the looped bungee over the cupboard handle.

Hoping to do this track in the next year or so. Question if I may, what pressure do you run on the car anda van when on dirt ?
@Sparkysontheloose6 жыл бұрын
Hey Kym! Everyone's setup is different so tyre pressures can vary. For us the Navara is 25 front 30 rear and caravan 25 all tyres. These pressures are cold so when the tyres heat up they should increase between 0-5psi. The track was better then we expected and could of run a little higher psi if we wanted.
@kymbiddell74676 жыл бұрын
Sparky's on the loose, thanks for the reply, yep understand all are different, just curious, we run our BT ( when fully loaded ) 30 f, 35r and our van at 35 as a start and go lower if the rd is bad. Lowest we have been to was 15 on all at Ningaloo station on the beach 😀
@jvalentine83763 жыл бұрын
I don't see the need to deflate tyres on a hard dry gravely road . Just exposing the sidewalls to extra potential for damage on sharp rocks and chewing extra fuel . Deflate when the road is soft , sand , mud ,deep bull dust and your sinking into it .

Just wondering do you guys use 5th when towing? Also do you have a heavy duty clutch?
@Sparkysontheloose4 жыл бұрын
G'day, we do use 5th but only when cruising flat with no head wind. Highly recommend excedy hd clutch, I can't believe its still going.

Do you have a long range tank on the Navara?
@Sparkysontheloose5 жыл бұрын
Nah, just 2 Jerry cans, there's fuel everywhere in Aus.

Hey guys we are currently travelling Aus with our dog too but was wondering how you went with your dog at Mt Dare as it says it’s not dog friendly?
@Sparkysontheloose5 жыл бұрын
Strange it was dog Friendly when we went through. Always best to call them up and double check. They have a lot of dingos there so be careful in that respect.
