Stress indeed triggers a response to the immune system. Autoimmune disorder. Your body attacks itself and hair lost could happen. I'm 50 years old now it happen to me in college. I had a rough freshman year, alot of stress, relationship, school etc. I developed a bald spot out of no where on the top of my head. It would come and go depending on stress or anxiety at the time. Eventually hair started to thin and progressively fell out. Decided to cut it bald at 27. No history of baldness on father or mother side. I did see a dermatologist a few times during that period. Unfortunately in the mid to late 90s doctors did not label it autoimmune or due to stress. They only handed out topical creams or pills for fungus. Any young person reading this having hair issues go to a rheumatologist get your blood work done and then adjust your eating habits and take care of your emotional health.

Same here, my hair started to stop growing and could see the patches in between my hair since i was just 23. Then my ex girlfriend shaved it off with my consent because i was looking like a clown 😂..My childhood and teenage memories has been very traumatising and troublessome now i am diagnosed with anxiety and depression. I never wanted to be bald, am very insecure with my bald head at that age, now am 45 am comfortable with it
