I used to be put off by D’s “harshness” and thought it was unchristian-like. Until I listened to Muslims, realized that they perceive meekness as weakness regardless of how logical your argument is, that they prize agression and arrogance regardless of how empty your argument is. Then I took a deep dive into D’s content and realized that beyond mocking and ridiculing them on occasion, he is very well educated on Islam-oriented apologetics and is doing a great job educating both Christians and Muslims alike on the religion of pieces. I love the work he does and pray that God continues to use him to reach Muslims. God bless you Dr Wood, all the way from Botswana

I dont understand how they look at aggression rather than the logical argument that is presented Which is dumb in my opinion Because if your angry does that mean your right automatically? @@dude9318There is a reason why Jesus showed the other side at times. Sometimes meekness doesn't work. Imagine being in Germany in the 30s, people subscribing to that philosophy: when people go a similar direction as with Islam, they need to be awakened in a whole different fashion. I had read Nabeel's book before David had publicly shared his testimony. I was floored. I thought, "This can't be the same David Wood." The more I dug into it, the more convinced I was that this must be the same person. But I still had some questions because Nabeel's mother's first impression of David was extremely positive, and she was happy for him to be Nabeel's friend. I was following Nabeel on Facebook shortly after this, and he said that he was planning to do a second edition of his book. He asked if we had any suggestions of things to address that weren't addressed in the original book. My reply was to address more of David's background and how he came to find out about that. Nabeel actually responded to me and set but he found out David's backstory pretty early on, but he left it out of his book because David hadn't yet gone public with his testimony, and it was David's story to tell.

David’s explanation makes so much sense! I live in Arabic neighborhood and Arabs can easily be perceived as loud (or even aggressive) to our North American culture, but really they are just more exuberant and expressive in general. It’s a cultural difference and it’s good for us to be aware of this difference if we want to ever talk about the Gospel with them.

I am in my mid 30 and would love to still have streingth to serve my Savior and Lord. Jesus is my Healer. Thank you all 🙏🏻 Please also pray that God grants me strength to go through this valley with humility and thankfulness. Please also pray that the fire of Holy Spirit would be with me. Last year I started to get interested in Islam and read more and more, but I decided that I would read the Bible and Christian history at the same time, the Christian superiority was noticeable, and the evil was noticeable in the islamic scriptures, And by chance David's videos started to appear and only corroborated what was already obvious to me, this is a religion that preaches everything except love and compassion and comforting hearts. So I finally returned to Christ, Christ is King lads! ✝️🙏🏻

This honestly makes so much sense from a cultural perspective. The same way Christian’s vindicate Jesus and the apostles word through their submission and willingness to endure suffering for their beliefs is contrasted by Muslim’s validation of Muhammad and his diciples through their willingness to kill and die for their beliefs.
@John-fk2ky2 күн бұрын
Not quite. That comes from their teachings, not necessarily from the culture. Of course, the two interact, but had Arabs been converted to Christianity en masse, they would likely still see a critical part of winning an argument being confident and loud/passionate. You might have noticed that Jesus spoke in a similar manner at times, harsh and blunt (not to mention clearing the Temple), while at other times taking a different approach. Paul, interacting the most with the culture that most influenced the modern West, used pure rational argumentation the most often, though if you learn more about the culture you’ll see other styles as well. My point is that there are other ways to present Christianity even in the Bible than how the West does things.

Don't criticise David; just listen to the testimonies of ex-Muslims. David created a lot of champions for Christianity and fighters against Islam. He pulled Nabeel into the faith, who in his turn with his book, converted many Muslims. David led Adam Seeker out of Islam through blasting away at the false prophet. Now Adam is a popular Urdu KZbinr who educates Muslims on falsehood of Islam.

I love the arm chair evangelist... The ones that never share their own faith to non-believers... Always complain how someone like David Woods is doing it.. All the while never themselves... People really should take in account what they are saying. I found when street witnessing i would get the most scathing comments from others in my church and again they would never offend anyone (i.e. because they would never preach Christ...) Then again i wonder about people who are so disobedient to Christ... He commanded us to go and share, yet in the modern evangelical church in the U.S., the stats vary but only 2% or 6% of people who claim to be a Christian have ever shared their faith once... Then again Christ was clear, if you are ashamed to confess be before others, i will be ashamed to confess you before My Father... People who claim to be Christian.... If you don't share shut up and keep you comments to yourself. Love seeing David in any manor getting out there and doing the Lord's work (Eph 2:10) 😊
