I have fallen head over heels with this method of teaching and have watched countless videos from Stuart since finding the channel last week. The only thing I can’t wrap my head around (even when performing a slow motion practice swing) is how you perform the hands going forward and then going down in one motion. I am hell bent on getting this golf swing working for me - has anyone discovered a feeling that works?

One of your very best videos breaking new ground and providing new valuable insights on the role of the right arm through impact in coordination with the movement of the left hand/arm. Brilliant explanation never seen before yet so obvious when laid bare as you have done in this video. Quite right to say there is so much garbage out there due to ignorance of basic fundamentals.

This lesson really resonated with me. Been trying to get into all these tilts, bowing of the wrists, side bends, and could never understand why, will all of the muscles and strong core that I have, not be able to go after the ball. Seeing your handle go back to the left really opened my eyes. Can't wait to hit the course on Saturday.

Hi stuart, I'm really enjoying the videos as always. Don't change great instructions. My one question is, do i actually have the feeling of pushing down the left-hand and actually try pulling up the right hand to equal force pressure

Mind blown. Right arm straightens down as right hand lifts up (at the wrist?) while left hand pushes down and left arm moves in.

Another excellent explanation and demonstration of how the upper body, handle and club head move toward impact. Quick question: I’m going to a Trackman studio to get my carry numbers and gapping updated. What other data should I focus on besides the carry distances? Cheers.

I've been working on this a lot. Some days I auto revert to my old "swing down and chip behind the ball" so I now spend 15 minutes on the range purely rehearsing your hand path guidance. Not sure if this makes sense but I find that my new down and thru swing seems to send the ball slightly left. I guessing that if I get the downswing/turn right I now need to fractionally open the club face as the new turn gets me back to square? (or maybe what I see as square is actually slightly closed?) Cheers

@ just found this ….Normal values for wrist ROM are 73 degrees of flexion, 71 degrees of extension, 19 degrees of radial deviation, 33 degrees of ulnar deviation, 140 degrees of supination, and 60 degrees of pronation. Ben hogan had hyper mobile wrists where he could bend his thumbs and touch his forearms, this is also why his lag in the golf swing is so pronounced

I've tried to keep my arms stiff, but by keeping them loose and relaxed, the club whips through impact - the pros on TV don't seem to be this rigid either - your method seems to be more like hard work - each to his own.

All you're saying is not to overdo the elbow tuck, the side bend or the shoulder lift. For myself anyway, not tucking the right arm in promotes an outside in swing. I don't think anyone teaches the exaggerated movements you say not to do.

I like it and accept the technical aspect of it being correct. However, the scar tissue that most have acquired never goes away, especially when we all have had some degree of success, inconsistently for sure, with the side bend bowed wrist etc that we have years of..Range work is one thing taking it on the course is another.
