Busta Rhymes is one of the most iconic names in the rap industry today. He came up in the late 90’s early 00’s and played a huge part in shaping the face of rap. He has performed with mega music icons like Nicki, Kanye, Diddy and Dre to name a few and has a distinct style that sets him apart from other rappers. Once Busta hops on a beat, his unique flow and Jamaican style immediately stand out and his distinctive gravelly voice grabs your attention instantly. So why did he feel the need to join Cash Money... and then why did he leave so quickly? Watch now to find out.

@@clintabernathy6881 he didn’t drop ANY Album in the 80s. LONS dropped their 1st in 91 and Bustas solo was in 94. However he was fucking with Chuck D back in 88/89. Alot of people joined cash money because when they had it.. They had IT.. Busta is a MC's Mc... If that makes sense.. Nobody can take away the fact Trevor can rap.. Period. Sometimes now though when he raps his voice sounds jumbled because even he has said he hasn't always taken the best care of himself.. From LONS to being on classic tracks u can't take anything from him. I think what's happened isn't a big mystery.. It's time... Rappers like Jay and Nas who still sound the same took care of their instruments (their voice) and that helps them remain relevant to this day... I still think Busta can hop on a remix and be the highlight tho and he can actually act so maybe he should try going back down that lane.. Either way he is hip-hop... Like he said they don't let u go last on the collab track for nothing.. Check the resume.. Busta is always the closer...

As a Five Percenter myself [and a fan of my brother Busta who is indeed a legend], it’s my duty to correct errors like the one in this piece about the Five Percent Nation. The statement that ATTEMPTED to define who the Five Percent are was MISQUOTED and WHOLLY INACCURATE. The Five Percent are ACTUALLY “poor righteous teachers who do not believe in the teachings of the 10%, and who are all-wise and know who the true and living God is…”. I’m sure our beloved legend brother, Busta, will agree that this error should be corrected to give his fans ACCURATE knowledge of who he is and who the Five Percent are. Peace & Godspeed!

I just didn't know there were literally two worlds when I was younger because now that I'm older people literally act like these people were rapping 100 years ago. I literally still have tapes and CDs from the 90s and to hear the younger people talking as if we not still rocking to these people is just crazy. We could be somewhere and I could pop Hot Fudge or any of his previous hits in the still Rock the party out. Hell Tribe Called Quest came out with a album a few years ago it sound like they literally just came out and I would say it's a classic. Fyi If you're reading this just remember "music is timeless" whether it came out last year or 20 years ago, if it's good it's good you don't have to announce what timeline you familiar with because no one cares🤷🏾

Busta Rhymes was involved in the beef with Ja Rule in 2003 because Busta Rhymes was on Violator records not because of Aftermath Entertainment. Chris Lighty who is one of the founders of Violator was also managing 50 Cent, so Ja Rule dissed Busta Rhymes just because he was with Violator & Chris Lighty who Ja Rule & Irv Gotti were also beefing with at the time as Ja Rule dissed Chris Lighty too on the song Loose Change. Also Busta Rhymes and Ja Rule got into a physical altercation at the 2003 BET Awards

Both Busta Rhymes and Rakim tried to do a song on the beat for 50 Cent's song Heat before 50 Cent had it. In a 2010 interview Tony Yayo said “It was one day we was in the studio and I’ll never forget this, I'll never forget this. It was Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, and Dr. Dre was in the studio, like I was said it was me and my man Weezy and 50, he did 'If it's beef, cock it and dump it' he did P.I.M.P., he did like three songs in one day. And Kanye West was in the studio, I remember that. He was trying to like sing in Sha Money ear. It was just a crazy day that day. Busta was in the studio, Dre, and, I remember nobody could mess with this beat. This beat had like gun sounds and cocking in it, Dre made. I remember Busta tried, Rakim, and 50 got on it and just killed it. It was one of my favorite experiences in the studio.”

A lot of gaps in this video. So much incorrect information in this video. You missed the Q-tip album? On top of that, your definition of the NGE is WRONG. WRONG. The 10% is not the Five Percent Nation. We don't believe in the teachings of the 10%. I suggest you make that correction. It makes no sense. Don't speak on a topic you don't have the information for. I highly suggest you make that correction.

The beat for Busta Rhymes song Touch It was originally for Eve. Swizz Beatz said “She just wasn’t vibing on it at that particular moment, but Busta couldn’t wait to take it. ‘I’ll take it, duke. Give me it now. What are we doing?’ He started doing this dance. It was over in 2.1 seconds. I knew it was over,” he said. “I was like, ‘Should’ve got on that one, baby.’

Busta Rhymes wanted to have the beat for Jay-Z's song U Don't Know. Just Blaze said when he first started the first version. Busta Rhymes happened to come by and was like "I need this" and Just Blaze was like "Let me get back to you on that"
