In Anambra, urbanization has overtaken most places, and it is hard to find a real village. In Ozubulu town, the only thing that reminds you of village life is the farm lands. In Ozubulu, people have communal farmlands, which are distant from where they live. Every where else has modern houses and most roads are now tarred. However, the roads are done by private individuals rather than government. Most of what happened in Igbo land in the past was self-help. The state governments have lately become more serious about rural development.
@AfamOrjiАй бұрын
Thanks for the insight about how rural areas have become urban sprawls using Ananbra as an example.
@uchennanwosu4625Ай бұрын
Afam, you need to script your videos so that you include more details. There are two kinds of palm wine drunken in Igbo land. I am not sure which kind you were drinking. There is Nkwu enu. It is the one that comes from the tall palm - the white tree sap. There is Ngwo, which is the sap of the raffia palm. The raffia palm grows to the waist level. It is found at the river or stream fords or bank. Ngwo is sweeter in taste than the Nkwu enu. What Afam is drinking looks more like Ngwo.

Wow!!! I will keep that in mind for future videos. Thanks for the information.

I’ve noticed that since the creation of states in Nigeria, so many people will tell you the name of their state when asked where they are from. The exceptions in this regard are Onitsha and Nnewi people as far as I know. Onitsha man will tell you straight up that he’s from Onitsha, if asked where he’s from, and so does the Nnewi man.

Hey brother, people that are none Igbo don't know what you are eating. Do some research and tell us the English names of the food and the recipe items that are mixed to make the food. It is frustrating to watch a video that has items mentioned but not translated to English. What is Agbacha?

There is no English name for the food. AGBACHA is the name of the food. AGBACHA is Igbo food.. Igbos are promoting their food by there Igbo name to be known internationally. So tomorrow another tribe will not come and claim our cultural food.
