We won alot of trophies under the British rule so much so that they almost didn't allow Indians to play football for being so good. Later we won the Asian Cup and were known as the Brazil of Asia. We played a free flow of 4-2-4 and defeated South Korea in the finals.

r those who are wondering why we couldn't afford the trip to FIFA. Well, you know the Britishers looted and drained us economically for 200 years and we were freed in 1947 . The baby India was struggling and was just beginning to walk, infact we had our Constitution on 26th Jan 1950. We had no money to fund for sports or anything like that but since Olympics was more popular back in the day due to 2nd world war. Because the Olympics wanted to bring peace and harmomy through sports. And India chose to be in Olympics instead of FIFA because we also believe in the spirit of peace and harmony through Olympics. So that was it . ❤

That no shoes issue was real. Officials believed that cause Indian teams are not used to playing with shoes and they didn't had any proper training field, sponser or money at that time, it would not be a good idea to send them and waste money.
