Furthermore, Josh Alexander is the epitome of perseverance because it took him almost two decades to showcase his talent as a main eventer. In addition, Alexander, Eddie Edwards and Sami Callihan have become the pillars of Impact Wrestling.

So glad I went back to loving pro wrestling and catching up with IMPACT in 2020. Josh easily became one of my top favourite current-era wrestlers. The fact that he can pull long and incredible matches with any guy with different styles from any promotions just prove he's a priceless talent. That being said, I'm still waiting for the Kenny Omega vs Josh Alexander dream match that was teased since 2021.

Much love to *The Walking Weapon.* I was honestly worried he'd fall down the card, after Ethan Page left. The North was a great tag team, with the dynamic of Ethan being the charismatic one, and Josh being the workhorse. I was real happy for him, when Josh stepped up, and ended up being successful enough to quit his day job to wrestle full time, and he's been a highlight of Impact and a great world champ. I feel like it’s kinda messed up that he skipped Ace Austin’s turn. Ace was first in line & the best moment for him to be world champion was Slammiversary 2020 which they didn’t end up doing which everyone thought they were gonna do. & then Josh wins the championship twice when they were already setting up for Ace to win it finally for years. I hate that Josh won it before Ace especially since I like Ace more. I feel like Ace was more ready & that Josh was not yet.

While I do love Ace and think he makes a good heel and a tweener, I would 100% disagree that Josh wasn't ready to be the world champion. The company has been carefully building him from the start of his incredible X-Division champion run after the disbanding of The North, to him winning the world title from Christian Cage, to him building his character as the unstoppable technical wrestler after Moose stole the title on the same night he beat Cage, to him kayfabe-leaving the company, to him finally returning at Sacrifice 2022 before winning the title back from Moose a month later, this time officially crowing himself as the IMPACT World champion. All this build-up effort was made for one and a half years.
