The notion of the devil in Judaism is more logic than the other religion. The devil can't react beyond the will of God.

That’s why Christianity struggles with an idea that a person is able to overcome evil. I like the analogy that the Satan is only Meant to challenge us to make sure stronger and not to put us down farther.

DMB 4LIFE I recently saw this NY license plate. Perhaps evil inclinations can actually challenge us to become wiser, and less dumb-founded. Thanks much, Rabbi. I will try to share your wisdom and hopefully share some wisdom.

I embrace Judaism but Judaism does not embrace potential converts. Why? I want to serve HaShem.

HaSatan, the Satan, is an angel, or more appropriately a messenger, of God's. There is no English equivalent, but it can be loosely translated as "the adversary," "the accuser," or something similar. His primary job is to challenge individuals, and also to accuse them before the heavenly court. The Satan is not a devil fighting God, but rather serves God and acts in accordance with His will. Every time the Satan is mentioned in Tenach, we see him in that role.
