@loubradoodle8926 Okay so the way the story allegedly goes is that some redditor posted on the Askreddit subreddit about this story of how he was basically knocked unconscious by some football player with a bad attitude. While in this unconscious state, he proceeded to live a life that spanned at least ten years. During this time period, he met the girl of his dreams, whom he eventually married, and together they had at least two children, iirc, and they were all supported by a well paying job. He loved this life very dearly. However, one day while sitting in their home, he noticed an out of place lamp, as if something was wrong with the thing. Now I don't recall exactly what supposedly made it stand out in the story but the man agonized over what was wrong with the lamp and eventually stared at it long enough to realize that none of the life he experienced over those ten years was actually real. Upon this realization, he eventually woke up. Problem here is that, in addition to suffering some brain trauma, he was devastated by the fact that life he had with his family was all a fabrication and even fell into a bit of depression over this. That is the gist of the story of the redditor who lived another life for ten years and lost it all after he looked at a lamp. It could be real or complete bullshit, the original poster as I understand never wanted share the story beyond that post and has since deleted it if memory serves right though its constant retelling survives in countless memes and mentions made on the platform.

He got married, had children and lived years in the coma, remembering details as if it was his own life. One day as he was looking at a desk lamp, the dimensions of the lamp looked slightly off, which enthralled him so much he stared at it for days, until the lamp started to warp shapes and he slowly realised his last 10 years was fake. He then woke up on the same sidewalk that he got knocked out on, back in his college self. He suffered depression and trauma, due to losing the family that he literally never had. This is my opinion about Ash and the Pokemon anime. This comes from someone who was born in the 90s and watched Pokemon since it first aired on American Tv but then lost interest in the anime and its protagonist around 2010. The Pokemon anime and its many different seasons were some of the best memories I have as a kid while growing and my love for Pokemon in general. However during the Diamond and Peral anime, some stuff happened and my everyday lifestyle as a 10 year old kid at the time changed, which I stopped watching Pokemon and playing the newer games after Gen 4. I was out of the loop about Pokemon until mid/late 2010, when I discovered Pokemon Black and White were a thing. Because I was out of the loop since late 2010, my love for Pokemon started to fade away, especially towards the anime and its newer seasons because of the simple reason that Ash remained the same and unchanged in his age. It wasn't until recently that he finally becomes the champion after two decades. When I heard about this and all, I didn't really care. Those who grew up with the Pokemon anime (Me included) and alongside Ash were kids as well. We however grew up while Ash didn't. What I'm trying to say is that by the time Ash became champion, I long lost interest in watching Ash's long journey as I or we, the viewers who watched the show since Gen 1, outgrew the protagonist of the anime and moved on. No, I'm not saying we all grew up and moved on as I'm aware of the emotional impact the episode of him becoming champion had, but I would have returned to the show and stay with Ash's adventure if he too grew up alongside the viewers who were watching him since the 1990s. Would have had a deeper meaning to kids now grown men still continued to watch his struggles until ultimately he became champion and is time to say good-bye. I just find it perhaps a shame of the lost possible potential of a young Ash struggling, grows up to be an adult in his mid 20s and that's when he achieves his life long dream and we seen it all.

I find this coma theory hilarious, purely because it stopped being valid in 2016. Up to XY&Z Ash was 10, but in the Sun and Moon anime he is 11 (probably to fit the oddly specific age requirement to do the island trials), during the sun and moon anime, Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet get together, get married and in the last episode Burnet is pregnant. By Pokémon Journeys, the baby (Lei) is already born and it seems to be at least a few months old. So ash is at least 12-13 by the end of the series.

I was in a coma and I got to tell you it was complete hell. I was in a personal hell of ultra realistic nightmares that kept repeating over and over again with no means of escape because I couldn't wake up. I'm surprised it didn't drive me insane, when I did finally wake up out of my coma, I couldn't' sleep and still thought everything that had happened in my dreams was still going on and I was afraid of everything. Mostly everything in those nightmares I had were related to the incident that put me in the coma and my injuries. I kept on going back to the scene over and over again in my nightmares as though I could go back in time and I was desperately trying to stop it from happening but to no avail. I even kept on going over the details while I was in my nightmare trying desperately to rationalize what happened in every possible way. It was so painful and psychologically debilitating. I could smell everything in my nightmares, I could feel the pain of my injuries and of the hospital staff that were torturing me in my nightmares, I could taste the blood in my mouth, all the various sensation like warmth, cold, and someone skin against my own. All my senses were awake in those nightmares, and I thought it was all real. I kept on dying and being brought back to life, I had heart attack after heart attack until I became completely numb to the idea of death. I would die in my nightmare and come back to life to re-experience it all again. I just lay there in my nightmares having been completely defeated. The hospital staff in my nightmares had completely restrained me and the poked at me and prodded me and I could feel myself struggling to live, I after dying about 25 or 30 I finally just became numb to it all, all the pain, the struggle to breath, being experimented on, the struggle of my heartbeat, I just gave in and I kept on dying still only to come back again and feel it all again. You think you know hell but it isn't a burning place like a fiery pit, it is a personal nightmare you cannot awaken from that is just as real as being awake, I hell that threatens you sanity, a hell that completely and utterly breaks your spirit. I wish hell was a simply burning pit that would have much more tolerable than what I had went through in my coma.

No they aren't. That's an anime thing. Pokémon make distinct noises, and have different cries. Jynx's generation 1 Dex entries outright state it has the ability to speak its own dialect of human speech that humans themselves still can't decipher. So there's one of many examples of Pokémon being able to make noises and say words other than their own name.

I have a crossover theory where Ash is Satoshi Hojo from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. And what is Ash’s name in Japanese? Satoshi. Who’s in a coma? Satoshi Hojo. And who woke up from his coma at the end of Higurashi Gou? Satoshi.

Pokemon are actually alein. That would explain everything,as there was an episode where clefairy worshipped the moon stone that came from outer sapce and it was concluded that they want to use the stone to ride it to outer space. Also many Pokemon like Solrock and Lunatone are both called the "Meteorite Pokemon." They resemble the sun and moon, obviously, and actually draw their power from the respective planetary bodies.
