I mean, in the Last Olympian - The 5th book, Athena said she was wrong about Percy burning down the entire world for his friends as he saved the world and his friends, she didn’t accept Percy liking Annabeth at the book itself but by the latest “Chalice Of Gods” , she was somewhat okay with it.

ATHENA LOVES ANNABETH IN THE BOOKS!!!!! SHE ONLY DISLIKES PERCY BECAUSE HE IS A SON OF HER RIVAL POSIEDON. In the latest book, Chalice of the Gods, she finally seems to approve of Percabeth!!!

I wouldn't go as far as to say she loves her, she is to Athena what Luke was to Heremes I guess. Still that scene in Mark when she was splitso personality was a bit harsh, that quest to find that statue had a mortality rate of 100%. I get it they needed the statue, but if I were Annabeth I would probably be slightly less inclined to send a Mother's day present.

I am sorry but what? In the books, I would like to remind you that she truly loves her. Annabeth herself said that her mother protected her from the monsters at the age of 7. Also she helped Percy at the Titan's Curse so they could save her daughter. She openly said to Percy she didn't approved their relationship, not because she disliked Percy, because Percy's fatal flaw is letal and she thought Kronos could use it to hurt Annabeth. In the Last Olympian, she awarded her daughter, making her dreams come true. Everything was fine until the moa. But I would like to remind you that gods were not at themselves at the moment(except Nemesis, Aphrodite) Athena was even worse because she was the most Greek like Aphrodite said. It was Minerva, she didn't even recognize Annabeth, just like Mars didn't recognize Percy at the camp jupiter. Their relationship got bad after that mission, we know that, and we need a scene of what happened between them afterwards. But hating, despising is so harsh words, book Athena would be in shock tbh. I don't know why they made her like that in the show tho, and I really wonder how would they handle their relationship later on because we know Annabeth really respected her mother in the books...

Annabeth is a great person and all she wanted was the approval of her mother, but in the golden throne she doesn't care about that, which means a lot and Athena should be proud of her daughter
