It’s quite sad to think about the fact that drag racing has lost so much of the popularity it had some fifty years ago.
Everywhere in the States you would see some new machine ready to hit the streets and smoke the competition-or try to.
Winning one of these races would be the biggest boost in your status, and guys were bringing new cars to their garages to soup them up in order to go as fast as they could. Back then, any unknown Joe could try their hand at modifying their machine, not only because some automakers were offering their own kits, but because cars were a lot easier to handle.
Or do you want to try and poison one of the new machines that are all hanging on by a wire and a software? Yeah, I get you. Things are a lot different now.
