As volumes grow prices will drop of EV's amnd as volumes decline for ICE vehicles their rpices will increase meeting EV's on the way up. The main reason is anxiety fed by the ICE industry over the new tech and range . I've had a EV for 8 monthd and recommend you get a home charger Public EV charging stations will take time to grow must have been the same when ICE vehicles came along regarding service stations , heard stories of how afraid some were of ICE cars and wanted to stay with their horse. One other point if you are travelling and are near an electricity supply you can charge your car using the local electricity supply plus it in when you go to sleep in the mornig almost charged . Yep its slow but its really just a matter of changing how you do things It cost me about A$20 a month to charge my EV before it cost around A$150 a month for my precious ICE car a Nissan Tiida, aka Versa LIKE THE TOBACCO INDUSTRY THE PETROL INSUDTRY WILL NOT GIVE IN WITHOUT A FIGHT Also let me correct some misinformation the actual premise of this story some facts "EVs are already displacing 1.7 million barrels of oil per day, which is about 3% of total road fuel demand." decreasing reliance on Petrostates. Also "In 2023, nearly one in five cars sold globally were electric, a 35% increase from 2022. The IEA expects sales to reach 17 million in 2024, which would be a more than 20% increase from 2023".

I drive a fuel efficient Toyota, 41 miles per gallon and cars like mine have a high resale value because they are desirable in today's market. In 5 years my car will still be worth most of what it is now based on today's used car market while everybody's darling tesla loses value faster than a burning building. Plus I'm not afraid to use either the heater or the air conditioning because neither of those things is going to kill my range. Bonus.

EVs do not "Offer cleaner energy and cutting edge technology" My local supermarket has gone jaguar and installed chargers along with two diesel generators to power the charges. Total bonkers

Absolutely true. EVs don't make pollution, they displace pollution, from the tailpipe to coal fired power plants and horrendous mining practices that use diesel mining equipment and create horrible collateral pollution.
