is the home to the many photos on the internet glorifying a time period in our history, yet having no connection to the people in the photos. #ThisThingOfOurs will only present photos of people known by Hassan Hagins or friends of friends. This will clarify much of the misinformation that is written in the captions of these pictures.
This series will tell a story of perseverance over the struggle of economic oppression. #ThisThingOfOurs is in no way glamorizing the nefarious monikers that might be attached to these brothers and sisters. These photos are here because these people are loved dearly by those whose lives they touched and their legacies will be celebrated by their comrades; NOT clout chasers.

This is dope. I remember back in the day going to The Rucker early--10am--to get seat in the stands, especially if Dr. J (The Westsiders) or Nate Archibald (Bronx Celtics) were playing that day. But even Rucker Unlimited, with Carlton "Mr. Moto" Green, Alonzo "Super Kid/Black Lonz" Jackson, Sam from the Colonial Houses, Frank Streety (Milbank), Arnold Dugger from the Bronx, and Earl "The Goat" Manigault...these were the greatest players in the world, playing on a court that became like hallowed ground underneath the 155th Street Viaduct. History was made on Fridays/Saturdays/and Sundays, and legends were born.I remember how fly Freddie Myers was, coaching Milbank. I remember hearing about Joe Hammond scoring 50 on Dr. J and then leaving at halftime. Harlem was&is Mecca for Black Folks worldwide. God Rest the soul of the great Mr. Holcombe Rucker, and GOD Bless Bob McCullough (don't know if he is still alive).

1st&4most i actually remember when greattttttttt basketball players was balling in chuck taylors and pro keds... I've been going to Ruccccckers since I was abt 16 .. an around 94 or 95 I met huddy how why is crazeeee someone started shooting an my 2/1/2 , yr old son was in the mix of panicking ppl anyway now I'm panicking an said girl calm down who ever has will definitely be LOOKING FOR ME LMFAOO.. huddy had him sonson had a double cone ice cream and a pocket full of money xoxoxo my sonson will be 30 in nov everytime we tell him that story he laughs an shake his head.. ..RIP Huddy

Legendary court! Did Alpo ever play in games at the Rucker? Another famous court was in Barry Farms in DC, The Goodman League. This is when basketball was really legendary. We need to clean up the streets and get more people involved in leagues like this. Great video!

1. Earl the Goat or Joe Hammond maybe as a legend but Fly can be of his peer skills to the great ones he can do. 2. Fly Williams and Pee is close so Pee-Wee is likely a little but smaller player who can runand scorer in the front court inside basket area and throw in the ball from a height level but body not above the net like some fwds or centers getd a lot scoring points to make in the basket front court area. This is only like my kind of knowledge. 3. Pee-Wee Kirkland or Damitrius could be considered a way close. 4. I could type his name "Herman Knowles the..." but maybe better before number 3 or before number four or five thats it sonhe can go here before the other newer leapers who can dunk for long distance. 4. I theres a couple of other names with the name James but theres more or like Corey too but Joe Bush may be a older player and Sgt. could probably do his blocks orvrenounds by them to get his defense better off. 5. Jackie and Connie Hawkins can tie it up but maybe Jackie has thr more defense lityle touch to the centers. But Dr J or the Claw can win this spot for his all around run and acrobatic dunks or layips shots too but he can be number four too or tie Herman too gor the street ball players. 6. Is it that Donnie or Coleman was his name but played college gym ball usually. 7. Two guys with names were ok on moves or one of those kind of players but Pablo or Charlie could tie for this spot or next with Dick McGwire. They may be one left out but another later player but there was a badketball player named Taylor too . And out by the cage the viewers or book noters that knows to keep the look of the players to named for what he did but had played in the game too or Lloyd is "!"..or maybe "The Pearl" he played there before.
