Thank you! We have to tell our own stories!
@melvindillard274Ай бұрын
I appreciate you trying to tell this story that I knew nothing about even though I was born close to this area 79 years ago. Your stories would be so much better if you would learn to pronounce the names of these places before you present them which would make your story stand out even more as you present them. Most of the Oklahoma names are Indian names which were kept even though the whites broke their treaties and stole the land that was supposed to be an Indian Nation in the middle of America. I have relatives who are members of the Creek Nation and they did get their land back after years of fighting the Govt. Other members of my family were not so lucky because they were not registered with the Office of Indian Affairs.

I am so proud I ran upon this story. I just hate the ending. Like how because of education, we could not have her bloodline be billionaires today. Getting to wealth is one part, but maintaining it and growing it is key.
@Kom_OmboАй бұрын
Who said that?
@striveforsuccess6259Ай бұрын
@@Kom_Ombo I listened to the story and when she said unfortunately they "LOST THIER FAMILY HOME". That let me know that some sort of financial hardship took place. However, being in that time, knowledge was not present for us to maintain and grow wealth. That is how I came to that conclusion. It is nothing like today where we do not have an excuse to grow financially wealthy. Back in her time, they would have done something bad to her just because of her status. So, I did not expect her to hold on to this wealth.

Thank you for sharing this history. This was new to me. Several years ago I found out that we are indigenous to the Americas. Ancient records show that our ancestors arrived here 600 B.C. Walter Plecker and others worked hard to erase our heritage and history and reclassify us. That is why they won't pay reparations, they would have to give it all back. Not just 40 acres and mule. Our ancestors lands ran all the way down into South America. After the 1867 purchase of Alaska from Russia, many of the Siberian and Mongolian peoples migrated south. These peoples were reclassified to Indian and our ancestors were told that they had to be recognized as colored. Our identity has been changed many times. Hebrew, Indian, Colored, Black, African American and persons of color, they call us everything other than what we really are. They gave true our identity to the people that migrated from the Caucasus Mountains and converted to Judaism. We are blood descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob the lost ten tribes.

It’s actually an insult to call natives Indians and many who know they history will correct you especially the eskimos💯 learn world history so you can understand the power Spain had back then! And when Spain didn’t make it to India the British did. While the British where terrorizing my ppl in India the Spanish did that to all the natives and the Caribbean ppl and took over South America hence the reason they speak Spanish that not their native language! East Indians laugh at westerners that call them Indians bc honestly you can’t be that stupid to call another race on the other side of the world something they are not and India is in Asia the 2nd largest Asian country next to China! You can’t argue this point bc you not native nor East Indian however I am blk and East Indian and I’m a world history buff.
