Where the Qi improves over the Stealth is in the longer irons and also the higher COG on the short irons makes flighting and control immensely better. It was almost impossible to control the Stealth shorter irons. Chipping with the Qi irons shorter irons is also vastly improved because of the change in COG. The Qi irons are also more forgiving on the toe and low on the face in the long irons.

Haha, comment of the week so far. "Punch me directly in the face". Love it. Yes, I used to be amazed by the distance these clubs go aswell, but I've become numb to it now, a 7 iron used to be about 150 yards, now that's a 9 iron with modern lofts - for some anyway!

It’s a shame that clubs are changed every year , it forces you to pay more to guarantee a custom fit. If your lucky and you can get last years model in your specs makes a lot of sense. Did that with Rogue ST fairway woods, saved 40%. Can save even more with driver , but got to have your specs. Thanks for the video.

No need to change clubs that often. There is honestly zero to very minimal performance upgrade

Yes, that's the slight issue. They need to fit you and be ready to go, if you have to change anything - shafts / grips, it can eat into the saving.

It's probably been the same for a long time now, the advances are incremental every year, unless they start using new materials or discover some incredible advanced manufacturing process that allows them to do other things it's going to continue like that. I suppose at least you know there are people behind the scenes trying to make it easier for everyone and that they are getting just a touch better every year. Even if it is hard to notice.

Yes they are brilliant, looks and performance. Qi's good aswell, the more I hit them I do suspect they are a bit more forgiving again, but as the test showed it's very close.

Pretty much the same distance and carry.. but the Stealth had 87 mph clubhead speed vs the 83 mph on the Qi... if 1 mph approx adds two yards, that's 8 more yards for the Qi.. Now, could that have been because you hit the Stealth first and were more fatigued when hitting the Qi? I'd like to see what happens when you take a day off and try hitting them again with the Qi hit first

Yeah I'll maybe have another go, one thing I would say is that Skytrak measures the ball once it has been hit and is only calculating the actual swing speed from what the ball does, its probably the least accurate part of a Skytrak device, I have had some weird swing speed readings every now and again, I use it as a rough guide but its possibly not that reliable. Ball speed is accurate, and launch and spin is all fine.

I've yet to see any data that shows that the QI is better than the Stealth. Either the Stealth is marginally better or they are about the same.

I would bet if you put them both on the testing robot that they could prove the Qi is an improvement, but I think in the real world nobody is going to be able to see it. I've yet to test the long irons back to back with the Stealth but they were making claims that they've introduced some new method of improving the right miss on them. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see if I can notice that, I have my doubts though.

I have tested both personally and performance is about the same but the qi10 has a better feel to it. They are like $100 difference if you are buying new so $100 for a better feel is all you get.

The RSI 1s are 30.5 degrees loft in the 7 iron and the Stealth and Qi are 28 degrees. So, I think with the years of development in terms of forgiveness and the two degrees loft difference, you might well see a distance gain. Whether it would be a full club difference I don't know. But it is possible if you get the right shaft and you can keep them in the air okay, in terms of the speed you create, then it might mean you could hit less club with the new irons. Using less club is good for two reasons, it's easier to hit the middle on a shorter length club and it's good for confidence. Certainly worth a try - if the lofts had been the same I would have said there wouldn't be enough of a difference to bother about.

Played one round with these irons today and got a hole-in-one 150 yards with a soft 9 iron. I've been golfing for two years. Great, forgiving irons!!

Brilliant, well done. I take it you had witnesses, I've had two holes in one playing on my own and no one believes me - one was on a 320 yard par 4, massive anti-climax without playing partners. And, by the way - soft 9 iron 150 yards - that's the thing that makes playing with these strong lofted clubs so confidence inspiring- that's a 7 iron with a set of blades.

@@golffm6924 thanks. the good thing about playing in Thailand is that caddies are mandatory. Had 2 friends and 3 caddies as witnesses. Got a certificate framed and won free golf until May 31st. Very happy with these clubs as a whole

Sorry, I don’t always see the replies after the first message. Free golf for a hole in one, wow. We give out a certificate at the East Links, in North Berwick, no free golf, but then we don’t have reliable witnesses all the time . I’ve had two other hole in ones with my Dad and my brother, so I’ve got that at least.

Guess im old …cause the absolute last thing id consider in buying new irons ,or any club , is the looks …. Its hot just you ,most qi reviews/comparisons mention it too …as long as it looks like a golf club and i can hit it well (better than my 20 yr old clubs ) and i can afford the damn thing …thats all that matters for this hacker 😬✌️…shouldve waited till the end ,you just mentioned the Qi are supposedly better in long irons …that changes everything for this slicer of long clubs lol

I can't believe you're not bothered about looks, especially at address. You can argue that the back of the club or the bottom doesn't actually matter but what it looks like at address when you're about to try and hit it, even if you're a high handicapper, I think it matters, it can inspire confidence or the very opposite. I know logically it shouldn't matter, but we're not robots!

I might look to see design .ie: if offset and how much , size of head , etc.. but its at best a quick “cool” or more likely “whatever” when it comes to appearance for appearance sake for me… iam starting to realize iam in the minority in this regard …i would always think back in the day when ever someone checked out someone elses new clubs it was for the model only because of the way they were hitting or because it may be new etc… you know like for bragging rights about having the latest “ new tech clubs” ….i guess if a club is just plain ugly it might sway me initially a little, but, if i hit it and its an improved result all that goes out the window… i know, im a strange dude 😬😜🤷🏼‍♂️👍🏼✌️

They're not too bad. It may come over a bit worse inside I think. You should maybe give them a try outside before you discount them totally. Certainly the feel is not too bad, as it they don't feel too hard I would say - considering what they are and what they do.
