Powerfish you are a great role model for anyone that suffers from depression and anxiety, I have suffered for over 40 years after having a severe breakdown when I was 22 years old, I near lost my family, children and marriage as well as a criminal record because of it all due to grog, drugs, and gambling. The main thing I always say to persons is to talk to someone/ anyone and don’t be ashamed to get help. What Willem is saying is exactly what happens. I think of it every day. The powerfish lightens my day up every time I watch ya videos. Thanks for sharing. Go ya dog.

As a sufferer I understand everything you have said The most important message is “ Nobody could possibly understand Only those who have it can” But bravo for your bravery! As my battle has always been literally “Survival “ And fighting the invasive thoughts and feelings of being better of dead !” But the most Stigma I face is from the doctors who diagnosed me And my family!!! While the stranger in the street are more understanding And about you saying that “There’s always somebody worse of” Was told by a great phycologist to never think like that As it doesn’t help YOU get better And if you are? Then your carrying around other peoples weight that you aren’t well enough to do Take Care mate And anyone criticising him You don’t know know anything So fuck off !

Love ya powerfish. Mate been in your shoes, culminating in a hospitalisation in a drug induced psychosis from anti depressants, anxiety meds, lithium and weed and speed. Complete self destruction. It's been 7 years and im happy to say I believe I'm cured, I've learnt my triggers taught myself strategies to eliminate the problems. I sought help from many services for 2years after melt down. Government outpatient and private. But in the end, I was arrested again section 22 and was treated and vilified shamed and judged by the system when it was not even an incident, I was frustrated at a 3rd new support worker in as many weeks and voiced my frustration as I was being asked to relive and talk about it over and over to a person every week. I seen the gaps I was falling through in the system, so after the arrest for just questioning what was going on, I walked away from it, stopped the meds and never felt better, the meds are the major thing keeping your mind set in that dark place, they are a daily reminder your not well and keep you in that mond set, plus they make you brain chemistry worse!. I took a path of not believing their is such a thing as clinical depression, I just started doing me, my bodyboarding my photography my 4wding and building cars. Dropknee has saved me and my hilux gave me purpose. My believe is now, you can beat it, its not for life, and be very very very careful trusting Government services. It's been 7years and only now the NSW government is after me to cancel my driver's licence (I changed my life 6years ago and feel on love with driving road trains) they are trying to revoke my firearms license, my medical files on the new online system by federal government flags me every GP visit and 15months about after a serious dirtbike accident with a broken back 6 ribs and shoulder and my hand, I was denied any sort of pain relief, was locked in the mental health wing and had psychologist visiting me more then doctors dealing with my serious injuries. After protests by family I was eventually move to ICU and put on a epidural morphine drip and treatment of my serious injuries started. So always keep in mind people, family are your best supporters, your own will power and believe in happiness will save you. The government services will eventually come back to bite you and you will be very limited and held back in society by them. Only last week I payed out of my own pocket $1200 after 8month waiting period to see a psychologist to be deemed fit and safe to remaining driving and hunting and has put recommendations to NSW health, service NSW and police to wipe my records. You are smart for being weary about discussing it on a public platform. Grab the boog and hit the waves again. It'll change your life, get out needle Dicks reef when it's on

I had a panic disorder too. When I was a kid for 12 years. It was so bad I've had physical health issues for a long time due to the adrenal burnout caused by the panic attacks. Stuff normal people have never heard of and wouldn't understand I am in remission now though. You have to find the root cause of the problem in order to get rid of it. Also I'm doing TRE (neural tremors) to heal my body it's natural healing.

I understand the fishing and the gaming thing - >pun intended}, I relate in the sense that I can't relax unless through exercise or tranquilized, and the times when I can switch off, it's never by sitting there unless it's moving towards a goal (in it to win it so time isn't wasting- working toward a win W a line cast into something whether it's a goal or a game). I think it's related, the basis for abating anxiety.
